The STEPHEN PACE RESIDENCY, now in its second year, intends to fill the gap that exists in support for mid-career painters, offering four weeks of time and space on the grounds of the Fine Arts Work Center, as well as an opportunity to provide mentorship to the 10 emerging visual artists who spend 7 months, from October 1 through April 30 at the Work Center, concentrating on their own work. The 2018 Stephen Pace Resident will live and work at the Work Center for four weeks between January 1, 2018 and April 15, 2018. The residency includes a fully equipped private apartment, separate private studio, and a living stipend of $1,000 per week. As part of the residency you will be required to give an artist talk, conduct studio visits with the emerging artist fellows, and hold an open studio.
