anime-manga.jp  Learn Japanese through manga! Learn expressions through the genre

(romance, school, ninja, samurai), different scenes, and the characters

themselves. There is also a word quiz and kanji game available.

erin.ne.jp/jp Follow Erin, an exchange student, as she learns about the Japanese

language and culture. There is a video for each lesson and also quizzes,

games, and activities related to the lesson.

momo.jpf.go.jp/sushi Registration required however, e-mail is not required. Collect sushi each

time you complete a test. Test includes listening, reading

comprehension, identifying kanji. Good for reviewing.

www.jlpt-kanji.com Study kanji based on your JLPT level. Quiz yourself on the reading and

meaning and even save kanji to your folder. Also includes a dictionary.

www.kanjisite.com Similar to the website above. However, on this website you can roll over

the kanji and it will show you the rōmaji. If you click on a kanji, it will give

you all the details about it (Chinese reading, Japanese reading, common

compounds, JLPT level). You can also print out a Kanji sheet to practice

writing each kanji.

 The J.Test is a test for measurement of Japanese language proficiency of non-Japanese.Unlike the JLPT, you do not sign up for a specific level and do not pass or fail, but sign upfor one of two tiers. The first tier, level A-D, is a total of 1000 possible points and thesecond tier, level E-F is a total of 500 possible points. Your score determines which levelyou are at and what you are capable of doing. The J.Test Level A-D is a higher level ofcommunicative proficiency than the JLPT level 1 (highest level)

People take this test if they want to work for a Japanese company, want to enter a higherlevel school in Japan, or want to know how proficient they are in the language.

Special A Level (1000~930 points)

Advanced Interpreter Level: Able to interpret to/from Japanese onspecialized topics.

A Level  (929~900 points)

Interpreter Level: Able to interpret to/from Japanese on matters of ageneral nature.

Pre-A Level  (899~850 points)

Advanced Level: Able to interpret to/from Japanese on basic topics.

B Level  (849~800 points)

Pre-advanced Level:Able to conduct business in Japan.

Pre-B Level  (799~700 points)

High intermediate Level:Able to undertake a business trip to Japan.

C Level  (699~600 points) *J.Test score of 650 = JLPT level 1 Intermediate Level: Able to complete simple tasks on a business trip to

Japan.

D Level  (599~500 points)

Pre-intermediate Level: Sufficient for basic communication.

None  (499~0 points)

The test consists of a Reading, Writing section (grammar, general reading comprehension,Kanji and writing) and a Listening section (depiction, response questions, conversation,and explanation). Each section is a total of 500 points.

Test level E-F (Beginners) Possible Total score is 500 points. E Level  (500~350 points)

Equivalent to having completed an elementary course in Japanese.

F Level  (349~250 points) *J.Test score of 300 = JLPT level 3 Equivalent to having completed the first half of an elementary course in

Japanese.

To take the test, Japanese cannot be your native language.

In Okinawa, the test is held every year in March, July, and November.The test fee is ¥3,200 for both tiers.You can download the application at http://j-test.jp/xp/ (website is mostly in Japanese)
