• The largest investor in Q2 2015 was Hisense investing USD16,8m into the consumer electronics sector creating 100 jobs
• Kimberly-Clark, the US based FMCG company invested USD13,2m creating 50 jobs in 2011
• Amazon has invested USD63,8m in 4 BPO and tech projects over the last decade creating 1500 jobs
• Gestamp Renewables invested USD22,5m in 2014 creating 200 jobs
• Atlantis Foundries invested in the heavy industrial sector employing around 1200 people. The plant in Atlantis recently surpassed the quality of its sister plant in Germany

Japanese Greenfield FDI into the Western Cape, Jan 2003 - Jun 2016
Ø From Jan 2003 to Jun 2016 there were 4 investment projects from Japan into the Western Cape, with a total capitalinvestment (capex) value of USD198.5m.
Ø In March 2016, Nomura Holdings invested in the financial services sector to the value of USD11m
Ø In December 2009, Telehouse Europe (sub of KDDI) invested in the communications sector to the value of USD150m
Ø In July 2009, K Line invested in the transportation sector to the value of USD15.30m
Ø In January 2009, Westinghouse Electric invested in the Coal, Oil and Natural Gas sector to the value of USD22.20m
