WHEN DID JAPAN EARTHQUAKE HAPPENED?

It happened on March 11th 2011, around 9:00 pm.There have been many

earthquakes in japan, but this one is the biggest and most recent earthquake

that happened there.

WHERE DID THE EARTHQUAKE LOCATED?

• The earthquake was located about 80 miles east of Sendai,

Japan and 231 miles northeast of Tokyo. It was magnitude 8.9

Somewhere around hereearthquake happened....


WHAT WAS THE EXTENT OF THE DESTRUCTION?

• Lives Lost: 15,690 dead

• Injured People: 5,714

• Missing: 4,753

• Damaged Buildings: 170,000

• Completely Destroyed Buildings: 14,623

MANY PEOPLE LOST THEIR FRIENDS, FAMILY, AND THEIR HOMES.......


WHAT CAUSED JAPAN EARTHQUAKE?

•The Japan plate touches the Pacific plate, and continuous stress, and when the stress got released, the earthquake happened.

• According to traditional Japanese lore, the fish rise to the surface and beach themselves to warn of an impending earthquake.

HOW DID PEOPLE RESPOND TO THE NATURAL DISASTER?

• People can climb to higher ground during a flood or install storm shutters before a hurricane, but there is usually no advance warning or immediate preparation with earthquakes. Survivors may have to cope with reminders of the destruction.

• Nothing can be done to prevent earthquakes as they occur naturally, but there are some things that can make the harm minimum, Such as learning the preparedness plans.

• After the earthquakes, tsunami, and nuclear crisis, Japan faced the freezing icy cold wind, hail storm, with -5c degrees.

• The environment can be affected by the earthquake, because if the earthquake hits, and trees will fall down to the ground and it can sometime cause forest fires.

WHICH COUNTRY HELPED JAPAN WHEN THE EARTHQUAKE HAPPENED?

• 102 countries and 14 international organizations had offered assistance to Japan according to Reuters, such as Afghanistan, China, and Korea.


WHEN, AND WHY DID THE TSUNAMI HAPPENED?

• It happened in same date as the earthquake which is March 11th, 2011. The tremors were the reason of the violent uplift of the sea. The highest wave in this Tsunami is almost 7 meters high.

Earthquakes. When the earthquake happens, tsunamis can reach the ground in few minutes, and it could be really dangerous. You should get prepared for the Tsunamis, because it can cause lots of lives lost, and it can bring lots of damages.

• If you live in somewhere near the ocean, and feel a strong shake from an earthquake, you would only have few minutes left until Tsunami arrives. You shouldn’t wait for the official warning. You should protect yourselves from falling things, and quickly move to high grounds where it is further away from the ocean.
