Learn all about Animals in Winter this month through activities, storytime, snack and a craſt. Avalanche Awareness Class Saturday, January 6 10 am - 2 pm Register now for this interactive course led by US Forest Service Avalanche Specialist Alex McLain. Topics covered include human factors, weather/ snowpack, terrain and rescue. Pre-registration is required: 907-260-2820 History Talk Wednesday, January 17 at 6 pm Catherine Cassidy, co-author of Alaska’s No.1 Guide, will take us on a cultural history exploration of the Kenai wilderness and its importance to its inhabitants, past, present and future. Dog Mushing Demo and Book Signing Saturday, January 20 at 2 pm Meet Bill Laughing-Bear, author of An Alaskan Adventure: Tales of a Musher, and explore the world of dog mushing on the Kenai during this kid-friendly event.
