All: We come to worship the Lord of Christmas; let us worship God!

*Unison Prayer of Confession Leader: I said I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord. People: And Thou forgave the iniquity of my sin.

All: God of perfect light, lead us as we proceed through the new year . For -give us, when like Herod, selfish ambition makes us willing to hurt others. For-give us, when unlike the Magi, we refuse to follow the light you give. Forgive us, when like many Christians, we forget the good news of Christmas, grow tired, and just quit trying. In this time of worship, speak your word to us, awaken us to your near presence, and help us to keep faith daily. In Christ’s name we ask it. Amen.

He and his wife, Ginger, make their home in Sa-lina; they are the parents of two adult sons. The Head Start clothing drive was a huge success, thanks to the generosity of our congregation. Thank you to each family that contributed a warm coat, shoes, etc. for the preschool children in the Manhattan area. - The Deacons Beginning tomorrow, January 7th, in the Life Room the Fast Track Bible Study will resume on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. We currently have a group of six and would like to welcome any others who may be interested in join-ing us.
