Day 1 - Jan 4 (M) -DepartureYour spiritual pilgrimagebegins when you depart theUSA.

Day 2 - Jan 5 (T) - ArrivalYou will be welcomed to theHoly Land by our airport

representative and transferred to your Galilee hotel for dinner andovernight.

Day 3 - Jan 6 (W) - Jesus in the Galilee With Bible in hand, sail across the waters of the Sea of Galilee andshare in a time of praise & worship. At Kibbutz Nof Ginosar, learnabout the “Ancient Boat,” a rare example of the kind of boat in whichJesus would have sailed. Enjoy a beautiful drive to Capernaum, thecenter of Jesus’ ministry in the Galilee, and visit the synagogue built onthe site where Jesus taught. On the Mount of Beatitudes, contemplatethe words of the “Sermon on the Mount” and what it means to be trulyblessed. Explore the Church of the Fish and the Loaves at Tabgha, thetraditional site of the feeding of the 5,000. Take a moment to pray inthe Chapel of the Primacy, where Peter professed his devotion threetimes to the risen Christ. Remember or renew your baptism at theYardenit Baptismal Site on the Jordan River. Return to your Galileehotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 - Jan 7 (Th) - Northern IsraelBegin your morning traveling through the strategic Golan Heights tothe slopes of Mount Hermon, the likely site of the Transfiguration.Visit Nimrod’s Castle, a Muslim and Crusader fortress which was namedfor the biblical Nimrod. Journey to Caesarea Philippi, where Peterproclaimed, "You are the Christ." You will also visit the ancient remainsof Tel Dan and the altar built by King Jeroboam I. Explore Hazor, oneof the oldest archaeological sites in Israel that was later fortified bySolomon. Return to your Galilee hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 - Jan 8 (F) - From Sea to Sea Travel to Caesarea Maritima, Herod’s Mediterranean port city which washome to Cornelius, the first Gentile convert to the faith. It is also wherePaul was imprisoned before being taken to Rome for trial. Explore theextensive ruins, including the Roman aqueduct and theater. As you make

your way back inland, stand atop Mt. Carmel and overlook the JezreelValley, where Elijah defeated the prophets of Ba’al. Continue toNazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus. View Nazareth from the Mountof Precipice Lookout before visiting the Church of the Annunciation.Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 – Jan 9 (S) - South via Samaria Today, travel the ancient caravan route to Tel Megiddo where 20different cities lie superimposed upon each other overlooking the Valleyof Armageddon. Visit Samaria, capital of the Northern Kingdom andhome to Ahab and Jezebel. Survey Mount Ebal and Mount Gerizim,where the ancient Israelites recited the blessings and curses of the Law.In modern day Nablus (ancient Shechem), see where Christencountered the Samaritan woman at Jacob's Well. As you continuesouth, stop at Bethel, the site of Jacob's dream with angels ascendingand descending from heaven on a ladder. Continue to Jerusalem fordinner & overnight.

Day 7 – Jan 10 (Su) - Bethlehem, Jericho & the Dead SeaIn Bethlehem, visit the cave revered as the place where Jesus was born.The Church of the Nativity, which was constructed on the site, is theworld’s oldest functioning church. Nearby view Shepherds’ Field wherethe Good News was first heard. Travel to Jericho and visit the ruins ofthe ancient city, which was long ago conquered by Joshua.. Even today,the road from Jericho to Jerusalem twists for miles as it climbs frombelow sea level into the Judean mountains. Jesus traveled the nearbyRoman road, the setting of His parable of the Good Samaritan. Travelto Qumran, site of the Dead Sea Scroll discovery, to discuss themysterious community of Essenes. Time permitting, stop briefly at theShores of the Dead Sea for a quick dip in the salt and mineral ladenwaters. Return to Jerusalem for dinner & overnight.

Day 8 - Jan 11 (M) - Jerusalem Begin the day standing atop the Mount of Olives as Jesus did. Enjoy aremarkable view of the “Golden City” of Jerusalem, including theTemple Mount and Dome of the Rock. Forty days after Hisresurrection, Jesus ascended into heaven from the Mount of Olives; thenearby Chapel of the Ascension was built in honor of that monumentaloccasion. Pray among the olive trees in the Garden of Gethsemane andrecall the night that Jesus prayed the bravest prayer of all: “…and notmy will, but Yours be done.” Wander the excavations of the City ofDavid. Walk the steps to the Pool of Siloam, recently uncovered at thefoot of the city. Grab a flashlight and explore Hezekiah's Tunnel, anamazing engineering feat that was dug from either end and met in themiddle! Visit the Davidson Center and the Southern Wall Excavations,including the Teaching Steps and the Western Wall. Take a step back intime in the Western Wall Tunnel where foundation stones and otherstone work survive from the Second Temple. Return to your hotel fordinner & overnight.

Day 9 – Jan 12 (T) - Jerusalem and the Old City Conditions permitting, visit the Temple Mount. Walk the Cardo, the ancient main street of theOld City. Once lined with shops, it is now partially restored. View the Pool of Bethesda whereJesus performed the Sabbath miracle, and sing a hymn in the Church of St. Anne. Visit Herod’sAntonia Fortress where Jesus was brought before Pontius Pilate. Walk the Via Dolorosa, “the Wayof the Cross,” and stand in reverence at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Continue to MountZion to visit the House of the High Priest Caiaphas where Jesus was imprisoned for a night. Standin the Upper Room, revered as the place of the Last Supper. Return to your hotel for dinner &overnight.

Day 10 - Jan 13 (W) - Jerusalem Understand better the Jerusalem of Jesus’ day with a look at First Century Model of the City ofJerusalem, now housed at the Israel Museum. Also visit the Shrine of the Book, where the Bookof Isaiah, discovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls, is displayed. Visit Yad Vashem in honor of thelives lost during the Holocaust. Worship at the Garden Tomb and experience the reality of theResurrection. Time permitting, stop at the ruins of Emmaus where Jesus appeared to twotravelers on the evening of the resurrection. Continue to the Tel Aviv airport for the journeyhome. Those continuing on the extension to Egypt will remain in Jerusalem overnight.

Our trip will cover key Old Testament sites such as Jericho, Samaria, and Megiddo. We will explore the Dead Sea Region including Qumran, where the community which produced the Dead Sea Scrolls lived. We will visit many of the holiest places in Christendom and walk in the footsteps of Jesus. We will journey through Bethlehem,the regions of the Galilee, Nazareth and Caesarea. We will spend several days exploring the historic city of Jerusalem. For those who choose, an extension intoEgypt will end our trip as we tour the Pyramids, climb Mt. Sinai, experience the RedSea and the Sphinx. Our final day will include the Egyptian Museum and a boat rideon the Nile.

This once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage will bring the Bible alive for you in fresh ways andserve as an opportunity to grow spiritually. In addition to our site-seeing tour, we willoffer regular times of reflection and devotion to draw us deeper into the Scriptures.
