PRE – LENT PARISH MISSION AT ST. STANISLAUS
HOLINESS?
FEBRUARY 23 -27
Presented by Fr Herald Brock, CFR and the Friars of St Michael Friary
Patterson, New Jersey
Fr Herald will preach at all of the Masses on February 23 and 24
Mission Schedule: (all three evenings at 7:00 PM) Monday, February 25: Holiness: Why is it important? Tuesday, February 26: How can we live holiness in today’s challenging world? Wednesday, February 27: Who are the “holy ones”, the saints? (**Fr Brock will give an abbreviated talk at the 9am Masses on those days) The Community of the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal’s (CFR) home base is in the Bronx. They have originated and become very well known in the New York and tri-state area. Their fruitful work and devotion to serving the poor and homeless in the Bronx and New York area, standing up for the weak and vulnerable, including the unborn, and branching out to Latin America and other impoverished areas as missionaries has been a great inspiration to the faithful.
Fr Brock specifically has been director of the Padre Pio Shelter for Homeless Men in NYC, was a missionary in Honduras where he helped establish a Free Medical Center for the poor, spent 2 years in South Sudan, and participated in evangelization activities in Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa. Most recently, he was the director of St Anthony Shelter for Renewal, serving 30 homeless men in the Bronx and currently is at St Michaels Friary in New Jersey participating in full time missionary preaching.
