Exciting News !!!! Starting on Monday, February 13 and ending Wednesday evening, February 15 we’re having a Parish Mission led by Catholic Lay Evangelist, Bill Wegner, of Good News International. The thrust of the mission is to bring us into a closer walk with Our Lord Jesus. The Mission takes place in the church and begins at 7:00 p.m. Morning Session will take place after the 8:15 a.m Mass. Plan to be there . . . and bring a friend!
Virtue of the Week
Friendship The warm feeling between two or more people. It means to show love, care, respect and kindness towards others. . . . I have called you friends, because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father. -John 15:15 Lord Jesus, help me to be a faithful friend through love, forgiveness and understanding. May my friendship with you grow stronger each day. Amen
Ordinary Time “Ordinary Time” is a somewhat misleading title for the season we celebrate immediately after Christmas and before Lent. The title implies that things are just plain old ordinary and that we aren’t really doing too much in this season, almost as if we were killing time before Lent begins. Quite the contrary! During this season we hear the invitation of Jesus to come and follow him. We hear the stories of his miracles and interactions with sinners and tax collectors and how people chose to follow him. We, too, must make that choice to follow Jesus. We need to commit ourselves again and again to following what the Lord asks of us. It is not easy but let us always be vigilant in our efforts. Let’s not “waste” this ordinary time but rather use it wisely to deepen our relationship and commitment to Jesus. Happy Ordinary Time!
Liturgy Corner
Once again, we will be collecting cans of soup to be donated to the daily bread on February 4/5, Souperbowl Sunday. Boxes will be located in the foyer of the church for your donations.

mercy, prayer that cleanses our hearts and souls - will the culture of
death that surrounds us today be replaced with a culture of life." -
Pastoral Plan for Pro-Life Activities, U.S. Catholic Bishops
