NO SCHOOL CHRISTMAS BREAK

Important Dates for January Tuesday, January 14th– Open House 4-7pm Monday, January 20th– No School! Tuesday, January 21st– Registration Open for Mt Olive Families - 9am and CHAPEL at 9:30am. Tuesday, January 28th– BEACH DAY! And Registration Open to Public— 8am
BEACH DAY!!! On Tuesday, January 28th, come to school in your summer clothes (shorts, flip flops, ect.) for a day filled with warm weather activi-ties. We will not be going outside today, so no need to bring in winter gear.
Grocery Store Items Needed! Please bring in empty, clean food boxes for our dramatic play grocery store props! It is fun to have a variety of foods for our store. We could use bakery containers, food boxes and plastic containers with lids. Thanks!
Zipper Club! We will be practicing zipping up our own coats this month. This is an exciting time for us to learn this important skill! Each child who can “zip” will receive a certificate that will be proudly displayed in the coatroom. Please continue to bring in warm winter clothing for your child as we will try to get outside as much as we can when weather allows. (Anything under 0 degree wind chill and we stay indoors.)

IS MY CHILD WELL ENOUGH
TO GO TO SCHOOL?
Many students and parents are
frequently concerned about when
students should stay home or attend
school. The following information is
intended to help with this decision:
If student has had a fever of
100 degrees or more, the
student should stay home for
24 hours after the temperature
returns to normal without the
aid of fever reducing medi-
cine.
If student has vomited or had
diarrhea, the student should stay
home for 24 hours after the last
episode.
If student has any rash, check
with family physician before
sending the student to school. A
child with an undiagnosed rash
will not be allowed to stay in
school.
When students are ill at school,
an attempt is made to first
contact the parent and then the
names listed on the student
emergency card. Please make
sure the names listed are local.
WHAT CLASS SHOULD I SIGN UP FOR NEXT YEAR? Information about next years class offerings and tuition rates will come to you via Email over Christmas break and in hard copy when you return from break. Registra-tion OPENS to SCHOOL FAMILIES on Jan 21. Come to our OPEN HOUSE Jan 14, 4-7 PM to meet the teachers, see the classrooms etc. This is a great way to gather info to make your decision. School families can sign up their child or younger siblings on Jan 21 BEFORE it opens to the public the following week.

FAREWELL! We say farewell to Sue Tellgren at the end of December. Sue will be leaving us and we will GREATLY MISS HER! Sue was Mrs. Christy’s assistant on Wednesday as 3-4 year Math and Science Class Plus Tuesday mornings and M-F afternoon Discovery Club.
Welcome to Heather Lillehei who will be Mrs. Christy’s assistant on Wed. mornings and Mrs. Karen's assistant on Tuesday mornings for Parent and 2’s winter session. We have gotten to know Heather
since 2 of her children attended preschool here. We are very excited to have her join us after Christmas break. We are also hiring 2 new people to join us for afternoons in Discovery Club. Watch for more information about these 2 great moms!
