January 2011 We are two weeks into the year 2011 and still it seems unreal. What a year we have left behind! Having greeted a very successful 2010 as a business and as South Africans, the New Year comes with a promise of new beginnings, fresh inspiration, show stopping weddings, functions and excitement, and strengthened relationships with our clients. This year I have not made any new years’ resolutions but rather resolve myself to the phrase: “Impossible is not a word”. May this also be real in your personal lives, whether it is a function you’re planning, in your career or a new venture that you have been topping over, take the plunge and grab the year and its challenges with both hands! Wedding Tip

So we’re engaged, now what??

Page 4: January 2011

A shiny thing on your left ring finger catches your eye and you have to pinch yourself again to make sure you are not imagining it, you’re engaged! Almost immediately after the joyous feeling of engagement there is that other feeling… a wedding, and where and how to start planning it. Since this is such a special time in your life, take the time to enjoy the engagement before the exciting task of planning starts. Here’s how…

Do enjoy every single second of it, it is a blessing and gift to have found someone who is willing to love you for you.

Do not go around telling anyone that is willing to listen the story of how it all unfolded, show & tell if you’re asked and share the happy story with close friends and relatives.

Do send out save the date’s, especially if you are planning a destination wedding, give your guests adequate time to make arrangements.

Do involve your groom once you start planning, this is such a special time to play and share together.

…and on the other hand

Do not only talk wedding talk, remember you are not only a bride, but a friend as well as a companion.

Do not start with one of these crazy (and ridiculous) wedding diets, he did ask you when you looked like you always do right? You don’t want him to wonder if it really is you walking down the aisle… and besides giving up chocolate will be madness.

DO Treasure and share every special moment and the journey ahead!

There is something about a photograph like this one, it is mysterious and intriging. What do these people look like? Are they smiling, pulling faces? One can certainly appreciate a great pair of heels like those as well! Jacqui and DC were such a fun and quirky couple... It always helps if the couple is willing to experiment and have fun with the camera. The blue wall in front of Blanco's Café made a perfect background for this picture. Frederick Foster Photography.

Real Wedding

Ons was dadelik onafskeidbaar.

Alles was net absoluut perfek.
