2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time
In today’s gospel, John the Baptist testifies that Jesus is the Son of God. Our faith and Sacred Scripture confirm this for us – Jesus is the Son of God. Pray today’s Psalm with an open heart and open mind: “Here am I, Lord; I come to do your will.” What is God’s will for us - for you? It is to speak the name of Jesus and tell of His work in your life. It is Jesus’ will that you make disciples. Not everyone will do this the same way. Ask for the grace to find the best way you can to testify – talk about Jesus.

Welcome to the St. Mary Parish Family
Lucas Thomas Murphy and Victoria Camille Borges!
How well do you know Jesus?
Do you want to get to know Him
better? Have you ever really
encountered Jesus? Have you
been waiting for a long time to
do so? If any of these questions
made you shake your head yes,
then this is the bible study for
YOU!!
Our Turning Point Bible Study will introduce you to
people and stories in the Gospel of John that you won’t
find anywhere else in the Bible: The woman at the well;
a man named Nicodemus; the woman caught in
adultery; and Lazarus, the friend Jesus raised from the
dead. You’ll read stories about Jesus turning water into
wine at the wedding in Cana, Jesus washing the feet of
his disciples, and Peter’s marvelous redemption after he
denies Jesus three times. The people in these stories
were transformed by their encounters with Jesus. By
entering into their miraculous stories, you and everyone
in your group will encounter Jesus in a personal way
and develop a deeper relationship with him that will
transform your everyday life.
Created exclusively for The Turning Point, the edition
of the Gospel of John, we will be using, reads like an
engaging novel, making it easy for you to encounter
Jesus through John the apostle’s unique perspective as
one of Jesus’ closest friends.
Please call LeiLanie D’Agostino at 781/729-0055 x308
or email [email protected] to
register for this Bible Study on or before Monday,
January 20, so that materials can be ordered to arrive
on time. Bible Study will take place on SUNDAY,

Today’s Reflection
“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world,” proclaims John the Baptist in today’s Gospel as Jesus comes to him to be baptized. We hear these words proclaimed again each Sunday when we are invited to receive Jesus in the Eucharist. Jesus, before He was led like a lamb to slaughter, shared His Body and Blood with His closest friends and asked that they continue to do this in His memory. We are indeed blessed to be called to this Eucharistic meal.
