Next week, we will celebrate two significant national events: the birth date of the honorable Martin Luther King Jr. and the inauguration of a new president of the United States. Now that’s the way to start 2021. Let the Church say “Amen”!
As the Rev. Dr. King said, “We must use time creatively, in the knowledge that the time is always ripe to do right.” These are words the Windsor Village Church Family lives by. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for helping me to release all control to You so that God’s Perfect Will for my life today is done. In the Name of Jesus. Amen.
A DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the United States of America. Thank You for allowing us to live in a nation where we can freely worship You. We thank You that we are also free to lift our voices in protest as we deal with systemic racism, injustice and police oppression.
Gracious Father, we confess that You, God, who began this good work within our country, will continue Your work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
Omnipotent Father, thank You for the men and women who are presently fighting to maintain our freedom and independence.
Holy Father, forgive our nation for taking our constitutional freedoms for granted. Forgive our governmental leaders for abusing and misusing the laws of this land to suit their own personal interests, agendas and needs.
Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Lord of Heaven’s Armies, You are the only true God. You are the living God and the everlasting King. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
