    CSC accepts applicationsfor career service exams

    LEGAZPI CITY-- The Civil ServiceCommission (CSC)Bicol regional ofcehas invited anew

    an original and photocopyof any valid ID with picture,date of birth, his/her signa-ture and the signature of theauthorized head of the issu-ing agency and a examinationfee of P500. Pictures must betaken within three months

    befor e the date of filing ofthe application. Scanned,

    photo copie s or compu ter-enhanced pictures are notaccepted.

    CSE-PPT is conducted

    twice every year to establisha register of eligibles fromwhich certication and ap -

    pointment to the second andrst level positions in thegovernment will be made,

    provided that the eligibilitymeet the qualications andother requirements for the de-sired position are complied.

    CSC Bicol meanwhilealso announced the exami-nations on Penology Ofcerand Fire Ofcer Eligibilities

    are both set on March 2,2014.

    Niebla said deadline ofling of applications forthe two tests is on Thurs-day, January 16.

    The Career Service Ex-amination for Foreign Ser-vice Ofcer (CSE-FSO),a qualifying test for FSOExamination and eligibil-ity, is also slated in August10, this year.

    For CSE-FSO, examin-ees or candidates must ob-tain a rating of at least 80to pass and be conferredthe Career Foreign ServiceOfcer Eligibility by theCSC and to qualify to thenext stage of the FSOE orthe preliminary interview.-- (MAL/LEN-CSC5)

    The commission encour-ages interested applicants tole their applications as theymay no longer be accepted ifthe target number of examin-ees has already reached themaximum, Niebla said.

    She reiterated that require-ments remain the same thatthey must be 18 years old onthe date of ling of applica -tion; a Filipino citizen; ofgood moral character; havenot been convicted of anycrime nor discharged frommilitary service or dismissedfor cause from any civilian

    positions in the governmentand have not taken the samelevel of CSC examination

    in less than three months orhave not failed the same ex-amination for four times.

    ing ethical nancial and non-nancial services to advocate

    poverty reduction.DSWD Bicol regional direc-

    tor Arnel Garcia said the MOAwill provide a framework for a

    partnership arrangement amongthe partner agencies to capaci-tate the Pantawid Pamilya Pili-

    pino Program (4Ps) benecia -ries, rural women organizations,farmers organization and othermarginalized and vulnerablesector of s ociety.

    "With a sustainable liveli-

    hood framework, the programcan further empower them fora long-term livelihood opportu-nity," he said.

    Garcia said the program willfocus more on the production of

    mats (banig) and hard brooms(walis tingting).

    Agencies who commit-ted thier support includeDepartment of Agriculture(DA), Agricultural TrainingInstitute (ATI), Fiber Indus -try Development Authority(FIDA), Philippine CoconutAuthority (PCA) and Depart -ment of Trade and Industry(DTI), Cooperative Devel -opment Authority (CDA),Technical Education andSkills Development Author-ity (TESDA), Department ofEnvironment and Natural Re-sources (DENR) and Depart -ment of Science and Technol-ogy (DOST).
