Two days in the week of worry free do keep
Two days in the week, of fear keep clear
One is yesterday with its faults, aches and pain
Thinking about yesterday’s mishap gives you no gain
The other is tomorrow, about it do not fear
For its full of promise and hope; things to hold dear
Tomorrow the sun will rise again; the sky will be clear
No need for worry; no need to let loose a tear
This leaves you with a lifetime; an eternity called today
Today you can fight the battle; today you can win the war
Today you can manage and cope; just walk ahead
Release the burden of what was and will be from your head
The experience of today is full of life and very liveable indeed
The bitterness of yesterday and dread of tomorrow is not what you need
Live you day like never before, your inner joy do heed
For today will never return, it is tomorrow’s springboard; its seed!

The January 2, 2013 issue of theJournal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) reported the outcome of a meta-analysis conducted by researchers at the National Center for Health Statistics, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Hyattsville, Maryland, which reaffirmed the link between being obese and having a greater risk of dying from all causes over follow-up.Katherine M. Flegal, PhD and her associates reviewed 97 studies that included a total of over 2.88 million individuals, among whom there were 270,000 deathsObese men and women had a 5 percent higher risk of dying over follow up in comparison with those whose BMI was normal. Interestingly, when obesity was examined according to grade,
having grade 2 and 3 obesity was associated with a 29 percent higher risk of dying, but being classified as grade 1 was associated with a 5 percent lower risk. Being overweight but not obese was similarly associated with a lower risk of mortality over follow-up. “Possible explanations have included earlier presentation of heavier patients, greater likelihood of receiving optimal medical treatment, cardio protective metabolic effects of increased body fat, and benefits of higher metabolic reserves,” the authors suggest.“Our study also has limitations,” they note. “It addresses only all-cause mortality and cause-specific mortality. It addresses only findings related to BMI and not to other aspects of body composition such as visceral fat or fat distribution.”
Study confirms link between premature mortality and obesity

Soft, creamy and cheesy cookies all in one!
Ingredients:Cheesecake filling:4 oz cream cheese - softened1/4 cup granulated sugar1/8 tsp salt1 large egg yolk1 ½ tsp sour cream1/4 tsp vanillaCookie dough:16 Tbsp unsalted butter - softened1/4 cup granulated sugar1/4 tsp salt1 large egg yolk2 cups all-purpose flour
Directions:Cheesecake filling preparations:In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until it is light and fluffy. Beat in sugar and salt until smooth. Mix in egg yolk, sour cream and vanilla and cover and place into the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cookie dough preparations:In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter, sugar and salt until creamy and combined. Mix in egg yolk until incorporated and very gradually add flour and mix just until combined.
Scoop out level tablespoons worth of the dough and
roll into balls. Place balls onto parchment-lined baking sheets and with the handle end of a thick wooden spoon lightly dipped in flour, indent the center of each ball. Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven and carefully use your thumb (or the end of the same wooden spoon) to press the middle of the cookies back down, remarking the indentations. Place cookies back into the oven, rotating them from their original position and continue to bake for approximately 7 minutes until slightly golden around the edges.
Remove cookies from the oven and fill the indentations with the cheesecake filling using a teaspoon. Place back into the oven and bake for 7 more minutes. Remove and transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely. When cool, place cookies into the refrigerator to chill before serving.
Yields: 30 cookies.

Scientists have often been puzzled as to why alligators never seem to get infections. They often get into violent fights over territories, and they get wounds that should be easy targets for infection. Their blood might be the key.
Chemists have isolated blood from the American alligator and have successfully destroyed 23 strains of bacteria, including ones known to be resistant to antibiotics. They’re now working in isolating the active compounds that help the alligator and put it into medicine for human use. This is a really exciting development, especially with news of new antibiotic resistant strains of certain diseases that are starting to spread.

Alligator blood may hold the key to cure a lot of diseases thought to have no
cure!Character is the ability to carry out a good resolution long after the excitement of the moment has passed.
Hitler was able to build a network of over 1,000 concentration camps in several ways. First, he established a legal basis for acts of brutal inhumanity by creating the Enabling Act, which allowed him to do whatever he wanted. Second, he used propaganda and media to dehumanize Jewish people and, finally, he used a system of brutality to terrorize the people into submission.
