March 2011 – Dec2016: Subsea7, Old Kilpatrick, Glasgow Senior NDT Inspector: General and specialist NDT of girth welds using Phased Array, TOFD, MUT, Visual, MPI & DP techniques. Phased Array – Using the RDT Rotoscan and Olympus Weldrover systems with PipeWizard and Tomoview software. AGR-TD - TOFD scanner. Specialist MUT- Using compression angle probes on Austenitic, CRA & Duplex welds.March 2006 – 2011:Npower/ Atkins global, Bellshill, Glasgow My duties are mainly to carry out general and specialist NDT inspections in Conventional, Hydro & gas turbine power stations at home and abroad, supervision of NDT Contractors at npower sites, general and specialist NDT inspections for external customers.

March 1986 to 2005: Various British Energy Sites From the mid 80’s to 2005 I was involved in major shut downs in most British Energy Nuclear Energy sites. This work consisted of supervising and carrying out Visual, UT, MPI & DPI inspections of pressure parts, CMV and Austenitic butt welds. The companies I was employed by were CIS Ltd, Scot-test, Comech and Eurospection.
