strength, Shelmed Cottage Treasures is one of the few successful
abaca companies who have withstood the many challenges and
survived the stiff competition in the local and international market.
Shelmed stands for Sheldon and Mediatrix Villanueva, the couple
whose love affair with abaca production is as sturdy and stable as their
own love affair and married life. Twenty eight years ago at Daraga,
Albay Sheldon and Med who were both in their early twenties and newly
married started their business of producing quality abaca products
with an initial capital of only three thousand pesos.
From a company of 5 people, Shelmed has come a long way , now
