Interactive voice response (IVR) is a

technology that allows a computer to interact

with humans through the use of voice and

DTMF tones input via keypad.

IVR technology is also being introduced into

automobile systems for hands-free operation.

The term voice response unit (VRU), issometimes used as well.

Features:

8052 have 256 bytes of RAM

It consist of 16 bit address bus

It also consist of 3 internal and two

external interrupts

8052 can process 1 million one-cycle instructions per second

ROM on 8052 is 8 Kbytes in size

DTMF uses a combination of two (one low frequencyand one high frequency) tones to identify the diallednumber or a signal.

Eight such frequencies are assigned to the four rows

and four columns of a typical push-button type dial(keypad).

With DTMF, each key you press on your phone generates

two tones of specific frequencies.

A DTMF keypad (generator or encoder) generates a

sinusoidal tone which is mixture of the row and column

frequencies.

The APR 9600 is a 28 pin

device used to record and

playback maximum of 8

messages.

The APR9600 device offerstrue single-chip voice

recording, non-volatile storage,

and playback capability for 40

to 60 seconds. The device supports both

random and sequential access

of multiple messages.
