Welcome to Riverside RV Park and Resort. We are delighted you have chosen to stay with us for your visit. As a family owned and operated RV Resort, with 40+ years in the hospitality business, we are always happy to
recommend some of our favorite places to visit, eat, or relax. Please let us know if there is anything we may do to make your stay more enjoyable. Welcome Resort Rules/Regulations
If you do not adhere to the Rules and Regulations you may be asked to leave Riverside RV Park and a refund will not be given.
• Attention Campers: All guests/day visitors must register at office and pay the $3.00 + tax fee per person and receive a car tag. Cars without a tag will be towed. This is required by insurance regulations.
• Speed Limit is 5 MPH (Strictly Enforced). Drive carefully and watch for children.
• Sewer Donut or Elbow: Required.
• Do not Leave kids unattended on the grounds or in bathhouses. Parent/Guardian will be held financially liable for damages caused by their children.
• Parking: Not allowed in empty campsites. One car per campsite. Additional parking around pool, pavilion or field area.
• Rugs: No rugs on grass, must be on concrete patio only.
• Trash: Must be taken to on-site dumpsters and not left at site or taken to bathhouse.
• Campfires: Permitted in fire rings on the riverbank. Please DO NOT move fire rings. Due to the emerald ash borer you cannot bring in your own wood. It is available here for purchase if needed. You are able to have a fire at your site if you have a self-contained off the ground fire pit.
• Laundry: Do not leave clothes unattended.
• Swimming: Is at your own risk. All children under 14 years and those who cannot swim must be accompanied by an adult.
• Golf Carts: Must be a licensed driver to operate and must have lights to operate after dark. 5 mph speed limit enforced.
• Bicycles: Ride in designated areas only. No bike riding after dark.
• Quiet Time: 11:00pm to 8:00am
• Check Out Times: Cabins 11:00am RV sites 12:00 Noon.
• Alcohol: Absolutely no display of alcohol. Please keep in a koozie or cup.
• Washing of Vehicles: No washing cars or campers.
PETS
• NO PETS in cabins or bathhouses.
• Pets are permitted on leash and are not to be left unattended.
• Please keep your pet quiet and clean up after them.
• No fences or cages for pets outside; STRICTLY ENFORCED.

Cade’s Cove Settlers first entered the Cove legally after an Indian treaty transferred the land to the State of Tennessee in 1819. Year after year they funneled through the gaps, urged on by the lure of a scenic and lush mountain valley. Most of the settlers traced their way down the migration route from Virginia into Eastern Tennessee (now more or less Interstate 81). Tuckaleechee (modern Townsend) was the last point of supply before the leap into Cades Cove. A few years later, pioneers moved directly over the mountains from North Carolina. They came equipped with personal belongings and the tools and skills of an Old World culture, enriched with what they learned from the Indians. By 1850, Cades Cove supported 685 members of 137 households. The Cades Cove community was important to the settlers in a rural society. It was an extension of the household by marriage, custom and economic necessity—a partnership of households in association with each other. In sum, the “good life” in the Cove was realized through industry, frugality, neighborliness and loyalty. Today, Cades Cove is one of the most popular locations in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This 11-mile loop follows the old wagon road trail and visitors can see deer, turkey and black bear, plus the historic settler’s homes, barns and churches, preserved as they were when Cades Cove became part of the Park.
