T1 - Manuf has specific infusion rate recommendation 4 a drug. MD ordered a diff infusion rate. Which should you follow? #IVchat

It has been my experience that anytime a pharm questions an order - It is best to look into things further. #ivchat

We had very good outcomes. We were able to match our near zero CRBSI rate (when using Biopatch) in the ICU. Learning curve #IVchat

@InfusionNurse we had used biopatch for years with very low CRBSI...did a 6 month trial with CHG Tegaderm..matched the rate. #IVchat

I asked only cuz of a case where extravasation was ignored in order to save pt's life in ICU....#IVchat

@InfusionNurse True! We are aware of the bypass option that some RNs use...and periodically address #IVchat
