I am writing to commend to your attention Mr. Ivan Schumann. Ivan has been an activemember of our congregation for over two years. During this time, I have come to admireand appreciate his passion to make a difference in the lives of people.

Two characteristics that stand out in particular about Ivan is his sense of loyalty andfaithfulness. I have never heard an unkind or unconstructive word about anyone in ourmany conversations. He always presents coworkers and associates in the highest regard.He can be trusted to keep his word, and he will support the chain of command.

I mention his faithfulness because I have found Ivan to possess a great deal of persistenceand perseverance. He does not give up on an idea or vision. He will stay on target until hehas achieved his goals. His determination and faith will get the job done.

Ivan is a skilled networker. I am continually amazed at the wide variety of personalcontacts he has made in our community, from the Governor's office, to businesses, and toreligious and other non-profit organizations in our community.

He served as the Executive Director of the Indianapolis Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,a role in which I feel his gifts and talents made him highly suited for the position. Hisbilingual ability is a true asset. Ivan has served as Spanish translator for many majorpublic events in our city.

I heartily endorse Ivan Schumann as a person of integrity and character.
