Family and Background

My family and I currently live in Redlands, CA. I live in a two-bedroom apartment with both of my parents along with my two brothers, one younger and one older. My parents were both born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México and my brothers and I in United States, CA. Most of our family members still live in México, but the siblings of each of my parents live in the United States. All my family member’s religion is Catholic, and our ancestors were Catholic as well. My family lives distant from our family members and we rarely see them unless there is a special occasion, such as a birthday or holiday.

My life background had more good moments than the bad ones. I am from Long Beach, CA and there I spent living a total of eight years of my life. From pre-school to kindergarten, I was turning six years old and was going to have a little brother. Since we were living in a small two-bedroom house, we had to move to a larger home. We moved to Adelanto, CA in a four-bedroom house, and lived a descent life for three years until the great recession hit the economy. We had to sell our house and move into a three-bedroom house in Loma Linda, CA. There, I attended at Bryn Mawr Elementary from 4th to 5th grade. In the middle of my 5th grade year, my family and I moved to a small two-bedroom apartment in Redlands, CA , and then to a three-bedroom apartment. I attended Cope Middle School from 6th to 7th grade.

As my family’s financial problems worsened we had to move back to Long Beach, CA. I attended 8th grade at Colin Powell MS and 9th at Jordan HS. We lived in a one-bedroom apartment where eventually all of our personal accessories and money were stolen. Shortly after moving, my dad was injured in a car accident that made him incapable to work. My mom had to start working. Because of this we moved to another one-bedroom apartment, where eventually our truck got robbed. All these hardships taught me valuable lessons in my life and encouraged me to succeed in school to avoid living these problems I have experienced. I have kept my faith in God and He rewarded me and my family, and now we are currently living in Redlands, CA again. And now I am attending RHS, and my older brother graduated from here and is now attending college. I am currently grateful that my family survived the great recession, and that we are currently living a much more descent life than the one before. Main Menu

Personal Goals

My personal goals mainly involve traveling to distant places I have always wished on visiting. My first goal is to visit the Hawaiin Islands. I have always dreamed on swimming in the clear blue ocean and enjoying a tropical vacation since Hawaii is the only state with a tropical rain forest. It also is the only state in the US that grows coffee, cocoa, and vanilla beans. I have my doubts of going to visit Hawaii, because I fear volcanoes. I still wish to have a taste of paradise in Hawaii.

My third goal is to visit New York City. I would want to go in the Winter season because the city’s parks would look nice with snow. Another reason why I want to visit New York City is because the city “never” sleeps, and I would want to see all the city lights shine at night. The statue of liberty is one of the main reasons I would want to visit New York City. I want to see how big it would look like in person. My main goal is to sit down, have a cup of coffee, while listening to jazz music in New York City at night.

Me and my family are football fans. We have two teams we show pride for and they are FC Barcelona and Chivas Guadalajara. I have already went to watch Chivas play in their stadium in Guadalajara, Jalisco, México so I wish to see my other team play in their stadium as well. It requires a large amount of money to go watch them because they play in Barcelona, Spain. In the future I plan on visiting Barcelona to watch a home game.

Future PlansIn the future, I plan on owning a dream home near the beach living with a family of my own. I would want to have a wife with kids so that me and my brothers can have family reunions, something that our other family members were not willing to do as much. This is my main priority to achieve my future plans.

First, I plan on going to a four year college or university in California. I am currently undecided on what career I would like to have, but one of my options is Cal-State LA since it is close to my family. After having a good career and a descent home and life I plan on giving to charity to the poor and hospitals ,like St. Jude. I would like to give money to the kids who have diseases, such as cancer. I would also like to give my mom and dad their own home in México with the help of my older brother. I also want to give them their own cars and tickets to places they have dreamed of going to. The main reason is to give thanks to them of how much they cared for me, provided for me, and raised me well. Also, give them the opportunities they did not have when they were younger.

Music Movies Video Games Drawing

I have many interests and hobbies that I do daily. I love hearing music when I am bored or when I am doing homework. Hip-hop rap, and jazz are my two favorite genres. Also, love watching movies in the weekends with my family. Action and comedy movies are my favorite types of movies to watch. Most of my favorite movies are fantasy movies that are based on superheroes or are animation. Since I have a lot of interest in the fantasy movies I strongly show interest in video games. The types of video games that I play are mainly fantasy except for the game that is based on my favorite sport. Because of all these interests, this leads to one of my favorite hobbies, drawing. I love superhero comics as well as drawing them.

Music

Music is always a necessity to me in my life. I love hearing music daily on a road trip, drawing, relaxing, or while doing the numerous amount of homework given to me. My favorite genre is hip-hop because most of the music that was made by my favorite artists relates to my background and the society of my hometown. The bass and rhythms motivate me to keep working and sometimes because of the lyrics. Some of my favorite artists include Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar.

Mainly all of my favorite movies are superhero movies. The movies that I love to watch are filmed by Marvel and DC comics. My favorite movie of all time is The Dark Knight because I am a fanatic of Batman, especially when the Joker, a villain, is involved. My second favorite movie is the Avengers: Age of Ultron, not only because I am also a fanatic for the Avengers, but the quality of the graphics in the film. Recently, Marvel filmed the movie that eventually became my third favorite movie, Ant-Man. The graphics of the movie were magnificent and felt as if the character’s powers were realistic. This amazes me when I watch movies because the new and improved features make me feel as if I were actually in the movie scene.

When I have no homework, responsibilities, or I just feel that I need a break I play video games. I entertain myself by playing video games or just to relieve stress from homework. I love to play adventure games, combat games, and sometimes sports games. My favorite adventure game is Batman: Arkham Knight, even though it was the very first Batman game I ever got. Tekken 6 is my favorite combat game because the characters in the game use various realistic fighting styles. Lastly, FIFA is my favorite sports game to play because it relates to my favorite sport and because of its amazing realistic graphics. I am also a PlayStation fanatic rather than Xbox because the first game console I got was the PlayStation 1. PlayStation also has cheaper online gaming than Xbox. Regardless the significant HD features the Xbox system contains, I still believe that PlayStation is much better than the Xbox.

Ever since I was about five years old I showed interest in drawing. It eventually became a hobby for me since I started learning how to draw. Drawing helps me relax and relieve stress from my homework. After completing a drawing I feel proud of myself because I put my imagination out on a piece of paper. I love to draw superheroes from Marvel and DC comics, but I still want to improve even more my drawing skills. Most of the times I would draw logos or animated characters from movies.
