SG20: IoT and applications, smart cities
SG20 will develop standards and guidelines that leverage IoT technologies to address urban-development challenges.
Key work will include, inter alia: The standardization of end-to-end architectures for IoT and
mechanisms for the interoperability of IoT applications and datasets employed by various vertically oriented industry sectors.

Collaboration Proposal with
• Adopt a similar approach to 3GPP collaboration with ITU– oneM2M designates a common member to input oneM2M
specifications to ITU-T SG20 as a Contribution– ITU-T SG20 considers the Contribution and goes through the normal
approval process of an ITU-T Recommendation– Once approved, TSB Publishes the ITU-T Recommendation
• ITU-T SGs build on the resulting ITU-T Recommendations
