ONE

• First, you need a flash drive that has been cleaned off and is FAT32. Put your flash drive into a USB port and find the drive under My Computer.

TWO

• Right click on the drive and go to the Format command. Follow the directions to format the drive with FAT32. It will remove all files on your drive, so make sure you will be ok with that.

THREE

• Leave the flash drive there. Don’t remove it.

FOUR

• Go to http://www.pendrivelinux.com/ via your regular computer.

FIVE

• If your computers are running Windows 7, whatever version, you need to download the Universal USB Installer program. This gets loaded onto the computer.

SIX

• Go to the website below (look on slide with the*** on it) and download the lupu-5.2.2.iso file to your desktop.

SEVEN

• Run Universal USB Installer. The version of Linux we are using is Lucid Puppy

****Put Lucid Puppy on USB Flash Drive from Windows

• This is the website from which you will download the iso for this drive. It is just a file you can save to your desktop.

• Download the lupu-5.1.1.iso--- http://www.pendrivelinux.com/put-lucid-puppy-on-usb-flash-drive-from-windows/

• Download and launch the Universal USB Installer--- http://www.pendrivelinux.com/put-lucid-puppy-on-usb-flash-drive-from-windows/

• Select Lucid Puppy and follow the on screen instructions• Once the script has finished, restart your PC and set your

BIOS or Boot Menu to boot from the USB device, save your changes and reboot

• If all went well, you should be booting from your Lucid Puppy USB. You will be prompted to create a persistent file for saving your session data on shutdown. Just be sure to choose your USB device when prompted.
