1. Over the summer of 2011 all campus computer
labs were upgraded to Windows 7 and underwent software
upgrades that included Adobe CS5 design suite and Office 2010.
2. The University’s Cisco VOIP phone system is now fully
implemented campus wide meaning every campus telephone runs through
the VOIP system. As a result the legacy PBX system was shutdown

5. The Tiffin University website http://www.tiffin.edu went through an
in-house redesigned by Jennifer Kline. After the design format was
complete and approved the site was fully implemented and launched in
August 2011.
6. All 26 classroom projectors on campus were
replaced with new Hitachi CP-X4011N projectors.
7. The new sophomore dorm (194 Clay) was successfully brought online
with both wired and wireless networks.
8. Miller Hall was successfully connected back to the Tiffin University
campus network and added to the wireless network
9. Over 7,200 students were migrated from GroupWise to Tiffin
University Student Email hosted by Google, providing
students with larger mailboxes, smart phone synchroni-

zation, and Google applications for collaboration with other students.
10. Successfully implemented Active Directory and integrated it with
Novell eDirectory to facilitate computer logins for Windows 7 computers.
11. Swank Video Streaming equipment integrated into the campus
network infrastructure for student to stream movies to their dorm room
computers. Special thanks to Student Life for their involvement in the
project.
12. Successfully decommissioned Northwood Academic Center and
returned all technology equipment.
13. Acquired and installed Read Write Gold software which is
used in assisting students with reading disabilities.
14. A new campus spam filter system was implemented to
improve email spam filtering performance.
15. New Maintenance Building located at 37 Gilmore Street was added

16. The soccer press box located at the Paradisio Athletic Complex was
connected to the Tiffin University network.
17. Microsoft Dynamics Human Resources module went live as part of
the new student information system upgrade.
18. Launched Power Campus Billing Module,
Power Campus Academic Records Module, and Power Campus Self Service
Module.
19. Added technology equipment to science laboratory for biology and
chemistry courses on campus.
