Starting from TWA 9.1 we adopted a new installation infrastructure based on IBM Installation Manager
IBM Installation Manager:
An installation software widely used
Strong data validation to avoid software installation issues
Software and hardware prerequisites checking embedded in the installation panels
Rollback of installed packages
Based on software repositories
It allows to check for available fixes, updates or extensions of a software

Advantages of the new installation infrastructure
● Improved installation and recovery procedure: TWS/DWC prerequisite are separate offerings with their own life cycle.
Automatic prerequisite discovery: One UI manage deployment of all IBM components, included DB2.

Advantages of the new installation infrastructure
● Simplified electronic images installation: TWS, DWC and all its prerequisites can be installed using Passport Advantage
● Simplified maintenance: All iFix and fix packs can be installed directly from Fix Central.
● Improved serviceability: HTML logging integrated into the tool● Prerequisite and disk space check
Improved user interface: • better navigation• real time validation• help online

Dynamic Workload Console infrastructure evolution
● Dynamic Workload Console software prerequisites:● WebSphere Application Server 8.5
● WebSphere is not embedded anymore in the DWC installation: it will be installed separately using Installation Manager.● The IBM WebSphere Application Server family is the leading open standards-based Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (Java EE) compliant application foundation offering broad programming model choice and lower total cost of ownership through high performance and high manageability.
● Jazz for Service Management 1.1● JazzSM offers infrastructural services to the UI (administration, security, reporting, etc...). The DWC web application is installed on top of the JazzSM profile
● Dashboard Application Services Hub 3.1● the new version of the UI based portal server, and comes with improved look and feel, improved performance, simplified deployment process on an updated software stack (Websphere 8.5, Java 7)● the user interface in Jazz for Service Management, and provides a single portal for administering IBM products and related applications

Dynamic Workload Console infrastructure evolution
● Jazz for Service Management
● Integration: Use Linked Data and OSLC ( http://open-services.net/ ) to quickly provide information that is easily consumed by multiple applications
● Dashboarding: Build interactive dashboards for desktop and mobile using a vast palette of widgets (such as charts, gauges, and topology) to integrate data from various Tivoli products or 3rd parties (such as from databases or files).
● Reporting: Deliver compelling reports for desktop and mobile of your product.● Configuration: Manage & check the configuration of your application via the
Administration Services and the new centralized Administration UI.● Security: Security Services – Enables the standard Websphere single sign-on
capability to non-Websphere apps.

Dynamic Workload Console infrastructure evolution
● The TDWC prerequisites are external components that can be shared with other applications
● For example WebSphere is not “embedded” in the TDWC/TWS infrastructure anymore and so can be used as the Application Server of other enterprise applications
