What is I.T.E.P. ?International Treatment Effectiveness Project.
NTA conception in 2001, n100,000 in Tier 3 treatment. Theaim to double those in treatment achieved Oct 2008(n202,666). 206,889 in treatment 2009/10 of which 23,680discharged drug free.
Increase the percentage of those successfully completing or continuing treatment year-on-year.
Institute of Behavioural Research (TCU), NTA & 6 x UK service providers took part in a pilot project in 2005.
Mapping & Psychosocial Interventions (PSI).
Birmingham Treatment Effectiveness Initiative (BTEI) research since 2006 has developed Routes to Recovery.

and 12 months after treatment.

Free Maps: Where the client and key worker

Guide Maps: Pre-structured templates with a
fill in the space format that guides the client‟s
thinking within a specific framework.
Hybrid Maps: a combination of guided and free
maps. The worker and client begin with a
structured map and then develop it over time.
