Note: it’s important to note that modelling this task with the whole class is essential in the beginning so that they could complete the rest of the
words in pairs/independently. How to use:
1. Print and cut the pair pages in two and
hand out the two to each pair of students.
2. Instruct the students to write the letters to the word
‘the’ in each box to make the word in two different places.
3. Ask the students to swap papers with their partner and then the partner hunts for the words!
Here is the final page, they can also cut the table out
and glue it into their notebooks:

letters of the word shown for instance ‘of’ in order in two different places, then they glue the rest of the letters in
random places.
3. Students swap papers and hunt for the words! They then color them and perhaps glue them into their notebooks.
