The trip at a glance

The trip takes place during Activities Week between 8th – 14th July 2018.

The cost of the trip is: £475/person

This can be paid in instalments on Parent Pay.

To secure the trip £100 needs to be paid.

Travel: luxury coach by Belle Vue

– Set off from the JCB Academy Sunday 8th

July 2018 14.45

– 19.45 arrival at Dover

– 20.15 ferry departs from Dover

– 22.50 (EU time) ferry arrives at Calais

– 23.00 depart for overnight journey to resort

– 16.30 arrival at resort

– Total travelling time is a little over a day.

– Food needs to be provided to students accordingly

Toilet and DVD on bus, two drivers and regular stops

Why a coach? We are going on a tour everyday, the price therefore; contains our travel to and fro from the accommodation and the parking charges for the bus for the full day.

Food:

– Breakfast and evening meal is provides at the hotel

– Packed lunch is available for £7/day/person

– Lunch is not in the hotel as we will be out all day

– For the duration of the trip students need to have their own packed lunch

– If packed lunch is not required, please count with the additional costs

Day 3: Verona

– What is in the price?

– Tour guide for all day

– Entry to Amphitheatre

– Old Town where we visit the Capulet house, Romeo`s house and the Scala family tomb

Day 4: Venice

– What is in the price?

– Take a 40 minute trip on the Grand Canal in a Vaporetto

– Visit the world famous Guggenheim museum

– Visit St Mark`s Square and Basilica

Day 5: Lake Garda

– What is in the price?

– Visit the quaint village of Malcesine

– Visit Scaligero Castle

– Cable Car to Monte Baldo

– Possible boat trip on the lake

Behaviour expectations

– As the trip is intense and full of activities we expect our students to listen to all instructions at all times and not to place themselves into any unnecessary danger by silly behaviour.

– We will provide the students free time during which they can enjoy the beach and their friends` company

– Though they will be on a trip, they still represent their school and community, hence we have high expectations from all of our students

Day 6: Coming home

– Breakfast at accommodation

– Last visit on the beach

– Packing/lunch

– 15.15 depart hotel to Calais

– Day 7:

– 8.45 arrive at Calais

– 9.50 ferry leaves Calais

– 10.25 arrive UK (UK time)

– 15.00 arrive at school (Saturday 14th July)
