The Hotel Palazzo Victoria truly offers the contemplation of real luxury in

Verona. Restored from the 14th Century, this hotel has been part of the Verona

landscape for many years. Formerly a palace, it features original artwork, frescoes,

interior architecture and design from its Medieval history. Recently renovated to

display its original beauty, the Palazzo remains a historic site.

All of the 70 rooms reflect the Roman heritage of the city of Verona, fused with

he Hotel Royal Victoria of Varenna is a four-star hotel, facing Lake Como, situated

in the historic center of Varenna. Once a spinnery, it was bought by Mrs. Giuseppina

Pezzini who transformed it into a hotel and called it “Hotel Royal.” The “Hotel

Royal,” in the most famous part of the Lecco branch of Lake Como, provided hos-

pitality to many famous people. In 1838 the Queen of England stayed here, and it

was in her honor that the hotel changed its name to “Hotel Royal Victoria.”

The recent restoration works have preserved its 19th century style, while offering

all the modern amenities in a luxury hotel. The Restaurant Gourmet, with a

tivities and events sponsored by Hotel Miramare, making its name synonomous with

the rebirth of Naples. It was first known for its famous restaurant-piano bar, The

Shaker Club, which was open from the 1940s to mid-’80’s. This was a very popular

17th century building rises within the medieval walls of Torgiano, a peaceful village

between Perugia and Assisi, set in the heart of the Umbrian countryside. Its warm

hospitality, elegant decor and exquisite cuisine are reminiscent of the aristocratic

country houses of yore, and offer an ideal atmosphere for those wishing to savour

all the nuances of traveling.

Le Tre Vaselle rests in the Umbrian countryside of 18th Century vineyards. The

vineyard influences every aspect of the hotel, which is completely sustainable and

environmentally conscious. The spa, inspired by the hotel’s Umbrian roots, offers

uring the building of Florence’s Cathedral (1300-

1400), most of the houses in the area of the Piazza del

Duomo were demolished with the exception of those

at the north-eastern corner of the newly created square.

Some of the latter were located where Palazzo Niccolini al

Duomo was subsequently erected. These buildings hosted

the workshops of some of the most celebrated Florentine

artists. Among them was the famous sculptor Donatello,

who is commemorated by a bust and an inscription on the

facade of the Palazzo looking on the Cathedral.

The Palazzo was originally built by the Naldinis, an

important family of Florentine merchants and bankers.

It remained in the Naldini family until 1891, when the

last descendant, Cristina, married Marchese Eugenio

Niccolini di Camugliano and brought him into this

family as part of her dowry.

Recently the residence was completely renovated

without altering its features and maintained the fascina-
