In the world, approx. 90 millions of castings are produced every year.In particular the Southeast Asian Region is attracting our companies where they

are beginning to see Indonesia as a new country for the future of the foundry sector.


For the first time an Italian Pavillon is set up at INDOMETAL 2013 in Jakarta.


Amafond and its Members are beginning to consider the Indonesia as an important player inside the international production strategies and it could beone of the most promising market for our sector.In Europe, Italy has maintained interesting export shares in markets such asGermany, Spain, France and Turkey but now the sector is beginning to move toemerging markets like Indonesia which has recently been the ASEAN mainmarket overgrowing Thailandia.

Currently the italian foundry sector has to face the strong competition from other Asian countries like Japan, China and South Korea and it is appropriate to explore the possibilities of cooperation in Indonesia showing and projecting there the positive influence of the “Made in Italy Technology”.
