District Profile
NIC District UnitNIC District Unit The National Informatics Centre, District Unit, Solan was established in February 1989 with an objective of promote ICT activities the District. “For effective district planning, the first requirement would appear to be as detailed, comprehensive and easily retrievable data as necessary. Not too little; even more important: not too much.” Keeping this as primary requirement , NIC Solan has implemented number of State/Central level Projects since its inception and is steadily marching towards its goal.

Both these software’s are running successfully and MO’s of nearly 12,221 pensioners’ has already been generated for 4th Quarter . Accordingly, aadhaar seeding of 8513 pensioner has been completed so far and work is in progress for collection of aadhaar number of left out pensioner’s.

E-Shastr is running at DHQ & three Sub Divisions in the District. Entries are also being made in NDAL s/w to generate unique number.
In IVFRT S-Form & C-Form are being entered by the Hoteliers & Educational Institutions. Now FRO Office is also making entries in cFRO module also.

Manav Sanpda (PMIS) & e-Samadhan software are functional in all the Major Department in the District.

Election Department (CEO H.P) 1. DISE During Lok Sabha Election, randomisation of formation of polling parties, deployment of Micro observers , randomisation of EVM & preparation of final result sheet is carried out in accordance with the ECI guidelines for District Election Office.
State Election Commission 1. Electoral Rolls for PRI’s & Local Urban Bodies. Data pertaining to Electoral Rolls of PRI’s is maintained by District Panchayat Officer and updated accordingly from time to time as per notification.

Daily Market Rates of Vegetables are being made available for hosting in AGMARKNET portal for all the Wholesale Market of the District and can been seen at http://agmarknet.nic.in/arrivals1.htm
Animal Health & Breeding
1. NADRS
Under this project Hardware were installed at five locations in the District and VPNoBB connection were installed accordingly.

The official web site of Solan district with rich contents on historical background, geographical profile, administrative setup, and role of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) is available at URL http://hpsolan.gov.in. The site is accordingly updated on regular basis.

Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System
1. AEBAS implemented in Office w.e.f 19th Feb 2015.
For implementation of AEBAS in other Central Government Offices in the District, a one day demonstration was conducted for designated Nodal Officer of the department on 9th Jan 2015. Instances of eight offices were already created in http://central.attendance.gov.in web site.

Besides this, other activities carried out by the Office are:-
1. To manage day to day official activity of District Unit.
2. Co-ordination with other department in implementation of s/w.
3. To conduct Video Conference for departments.
4. To provide technical support to departments.
5. To conduct & impart training to officials on application software.
6. Support to District Administration ICT related activities.
Project Status
Establishment of SUGAM Centres Sugam Centre’s were successfully established at District and Sub Divisional Level catering following citizen centric services under one roof:- • Issuance of Driving Licenses •Registration of Vehicles •Registration of Land Deeds •Issuance of all types of Certificates •Issuance/renewal of Arms Licenses •Issuance of RoR •Disseminate information through Touch Screen Kiosk at District Sugam Centre •Aadhar registration
Future Activities :-
Segregation of Data for newly created Mamlig Sub Tehsil and prepare the Server
accordingly.
Updation of Circle Rates for the Year 2015-16.
Aadhaar seeding in ekalyan for left out pensioner & updation of waiting list for 4th quarter.
Write up for Informatics magazine.
Maintenance of Files in eoffice as per observation pointed out by SIO during visit to District Unit, Solan.
Implementation of AEBAS in other Central Government Offices in the District.
To impress upon Deputy Commissioner to sanction amount as per estimate to carry out repair/renovation work.
To initiate entry in MPLAD s/w for schemes sanction by Hon’ble MP as Deputy Commissioner Solan is now Nodal Officer for MP Shimla.
Updation of District Web Site.
As per request, to organise training for official of DC Office for REFNIC s/w.
To provide support to District Administration in implementation SAGY in Jagjitnagar Panchayat of Dharampur block of District Solan.
