Nicole Coyle for organizing the craft at our Bames and Noble Book Fair on Sunday. Dec. 3'd. This y"eal an authcr, Deborah Himt. read from her books, The Cne-Eied Pug and Same Inside, Different Outside. Thanli you to the families'*'ho supported the bookfair. Thank you to Mrs. Fusic and the 3"lgrade fbr leading our school liturgy so well on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Dec. 8th. N{any of our PreK - 5th grade students participated in the Student Council Craft Time on Dec. 12th. Thank you to lvlrs. Hankers, Mrs. Hayes and Student Council members for organizing this tun activity. Congratulations to Christiana Paolillo in 8th grade who won our school Spelling Bee and was our representative at the region Spelling Bee on Dec. 13ft. Well done. Christiana! Congratulations to Lukasz Grum in 5th grade who was selected as our finalist for Senator Lanza'a "There Ought to Be a Law" essay contest. Lukasz was recognized at a ceremony at the Richmondtown Court House on Dec. 6ft along with students from public and other Catholic schools. IvIany thanks to our Kindergarten - 5s grade teachers and students who presented our Christmas Show on Thursday, Dec. l4m. Thanks also to our parents for costuming their child for the show. The children always perfbrm so well when their families are watching! Congratulations to 4th - 8th grade students who earned Honor Roll distinctions for the first quarter. Students were recognized at our Honor Roll assembly on Friday, Dec. l5th. Thank you to our parents who contributed to and bought baked goods at the H.S.A. Bake Sale on Dec. 17th. Thank you to Mrs. Cat Staiti for organizing this event as well as to the parents rvho helped at the table.

Many activities are going on this week. Thanks to our H.S.A., students purchased gifts for theirfamilies at Santa's Workshop on Monday - and got a chance to meet with Santa. AllKindergarten - 8m grade classes are attending the pliy, A Christmas Carol, at CSI this week.Today was our Ugly Sweater/Buddies Craft & Hot Chocolate/ The Santa Clause Movie Day -always big fun. nriday is our Advent Prayer Service, led by Kindergarten and 8th grades at lpm.AII families are invited to join us.

Congratulations to the winners of our Christmas Raffle: ltt prize - Purrazzella Family,2nd Prize:AmatucciiRuiz Family, 3'd prize: Kelleher Family.

Our Christmas break is from Monday, Dec. 25th - Jan. I't. Holy Rosary reopens on Jan. 2"d.

Please do not send your child to school if he/she is sick. Our policy is that children must befever free for 24 hours without use of a fever reducing medication (i.e. Tylenol). So if yourchild is sent home fiom school rvith a fever, pleasc do not send back your child the next day. Weask that you do not send in a child who had vomited, had dianhea befbre school or who just doesnot f'eel well. The child will be miserable all day and will spread genns to other students.

Jlrst as a reminder - school begins at7:50am. Students who arrive after 8:00am are issued a latepass, As per our policy noted in the Parent-Student Handbook. students rvill receive a demeritfor every three days they are late to school. After three demerits, an after school detention isissued. Please plan on arriving to school before 7:50am so your child may be a part of ourmoming assembly during which $'e pray, say the Pledge of Allegiance, announce birthdays andupcoming events as uell to celebrate students' achievements.
