SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Make sure that the towbar is suitable for the vehicle before starting the installation.

For safety, all work involving towbar installation (incl. electrical components) must be undertaken by skilled technicians.

Damaged components must be replaced with manufacturer’s spares and fitted by qualified staff.

It is forbidden to make any modification or structural repair to towing assembly.

The towball must be kept clean and lubrificated. For added safety, his diameter (50 mm) must be checked at regular intervalls. If the towball measures less than 49 mm after selected readings across the diameter, the towball must be replaced with a new one.

After 1000 km of towing, check torque settings for nuts and bolts, in accordance with the table.

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

Remove all underseals from areas which may come in contact with the towbar assembly and re-coat areas with anti-rust paint. The holes for fixing the towing

structure are existing.

1) Lift up the mudguard side covers from under the vehicle and then remove the tape &/or sealant that is on holes 1, 3, 4, of the vehicle.

2) Insert the two cage nut after having removed the tape & sealant (holes 1) that are on the front face of the rear crossmember of the vehicle.

3) Attach item A using holes 1 and 2 and tighten.4) Locate the two side arms B and C against the inside face of the two chassis rails

using holes 3 and 4 interposing (for n. 4) the spacer between item B and the side of the chassis rail then tighten.

5) Locate items D and F against the floor of the rear bar of the vehicle using holes 7 and 10 and tighten.

6) Tighten items B, C , D, E, already mounted, to the cross bar using holes 5 and 6.7) Tighten all bolts and nuts as per torque settings.8) Connect the wirings to the socket9) Re-fit the mudguard side covers
