A place to give yourself a treat of an exotic ambiance and true hospitality. With the central traditional Malay Malacca house, located on more than 3 acres, it is a restful place to enjoy the blooms of rare to find flowers and the sounds of nature. Desa Paku House and Garden is located 22km from the town of Malacca, in the district of Alor Gajah. It is a traditional Malay House to dwell in Malacca in the land area of 4 acres of gardens with a collection of more than 200 species of flora and fauna and six breeding ponds that attracts.

alaccaSketches to actual product with the adventure experience and interest, is the key to come out with the vista design expression in minimalist transformation. In other way, transform is the main idea to have the interlocking space in multipurpose usage, directly to have the maximum use. With hobby of my client to do the carpentry work, sure he more feel satisfied to create the portable product. That’s the interior happen in this building, which is it will have the portable, movement and multi-function furniture, to create the perfect use of space. Appreciate the site element, additive and substractive to be comply on the form and façade.

The use of multi-function space, for maximum movement and use. Division of internal space is just a bit, but can be practiced for many uses, hobbies and interests associated with the end user. With a focus wall-less design, and a lot of openings, in buildings or on furniture, effects air flow can move smoothly and recycle and reject the negative air in the building. Directly, this design is an approach to achieve passive cooling design.

With the treatment on site, the approach to reduce heat in the building became the main planning to create a productive space. In fact, the client’s approach prefer on peace, simplicity and minimal in all aspects, will be the concept of design in form and space. Space accessible, transparent and peaceful is for people to appreciate more details about art and journey. With pond at the ground level enhance the space become more luxury and natural, which bring the outside element through inside the space.

Mr Bazuki is a Reuters photographer and journalist, based in Kuala Lumpur. He discovered his passion for photography while studying architecture at Louisiana State University.

In challenge of sloping site, the eco-lodge more on approaching the site context and building identity itself. The design produced based on needs of the enviro and the users. Which we know that Maxwell Hill faced highest rainfall in Malaysia. So, the design is more to achieve the “Breeze”. Breeze can be happen when the liquid split on it molecule. breeze is part of nature treatment, which the design injected with much more nature element.

The hanging bamboo is the building feature for the lodge. It represent the nature treatment on the design, instead using mild steel screen. The humble architecture is basically reflect with building surrounding, which there much more simple and minimalist.

Other than that, the concerning about environmental is important in this design, to protect and conserve the existing forest and tree. With respect the good nature impact, the building appreciated the surrounding with opening face more to the taiping town. Plus, the opening also act as ventilation and part of “breeze way flow”. The lodge sit at the higher level, almost at the top of hill, which we know the wind velocity will resulting high effect. The design try to take advatage on this income, which design provide wind turbine to having sustainable outcome.

Connection between volume and nature linkage. This concept first come by the local council aim for Shah Alam, “Garden State”, and been elaborate with this project to success the low carbon design. Symbiosis approach in this project were finally revil after all surrounding been green, existing with additional. The garden court as the focal, connect the adjecent, with evaporate target cooling will satisfied the users and give the good impact to enviroment. Plus, to have the syncronization between site and the activity park (Dataran). Center court approach can be put inside the building to achieve the micro court, transform from the macro court (center court). In aiming to have the best environmental building or passive design, may allow the natural ventilation go inside the building. This targer can be successful with effective capacity of space, which may be to consider the opening and building height. Designing the public space with almost double volume height, this effective approach can be done. In appreciate the god given, human should respect the surrounding with make the human more effective and feel with the nature context.

LUXURY HOUSING: PUTRA PARK RESIDENCES

Set amidst the remaining lush greens of Putra Height, ‘Putra Park Residences’ is a residential development consisting of 11 units of 2-storey luxury bungalow, 39 units of courtyard townhose, 1 community hub, MRT by pass station, guard house and observation tower respectively. The name of the development originated from the design of the development, each with a carved-out ‘window’; with large opening throughout which landscape flows continuously, weaving architecture, art and nature together. The development divided with two land parcel which connects and frames each of the parks; the clubhouse park, the green park and the active park, thereby creating a larger scale park environment. The visual axis also guide movement through the park, marked with pedestrian walk-way and outdoor furniture which function as distance indicators, rest stops and points of conversation.

In having the eco-homes, “Windows on the Park” concept applied in the design for great living area. Technically, the concept is about nature and human, which to be synchronized and make it as a shelter and connection. To be straight, living in the green area with views and nature living can release the stress issue and control the environment at the radius area. In achieving this concept, mixed species of tree to be apply. With this consideration, it also can create the non-wild animal to make their own habitat, mixing with human being. Bird and squirrel is one of the animals that to be apply in the residential. There can make their own habitat, with peace green lush, connect and contexting with human being and human shelter. This living development to be consider as a big shade area, which is to make it quite similar with the forest living. With mixed trees, the development seems like creating and designing through nature living, or so call automatically develops from ground. In aesthetically, the developments are SYMBIOSIS LIVING!!

Malaysia is going through its worst dengue outbreak ever, health officials said yesterday, with higher rainfall and public apathy being blamed for encouraging the widespread breeding of the Aedes mosquito.In the first 28 days of this year alone, 14 people have died and 5,062 cases have been recorded. This compares with five deaths and 2,855 cases in the same period last year.

Other than that, the residential is like “death township” once office hour on weekdays. There not having security in the residential itself once all the people in the development when to work. This issue happen once the development not consider the users and buyers, but only think about making profit.
