    Dear Parents:

    The MS Student Council will be hosting the second Middle School

    Party on Friday, October 14 for the Grade 7 and Grade 8 students

    from 5:00 7:00 P.M. Permission slips are available through

    Homebase, and in order to attend, your child must submit a signed

    permission slip and purchase a ticket. Please be advised that

    students are expected to attend the duration of the party. In the

    event that a student must leave before the end of the party, it isrequested that a parent notify the office in writing or by phone in

    advance. When informing the office of the early pick-up, please tell

    us who will pick up your child and the time so that the MS Office can

    inform security. Please understand that we request this information

    to ensure the safety of the students who leave the event early. We

    encourage all students to attend their respective party and are

    looking forward to 100% participation. There will be games, dancing

    and lots of fun to be had. The parties will be a great opportunity to

    spend time with friends!

    Parent Teacher Conferences (PTCs) in the Middle School are

    scheduled for Monday, October 10th and Tuesday, October 11th from

    1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Students will follow a modified schedule on

    both days and be dismissed at 12:00 noon. Please make the

    necessary transportation arrangements so that your child is picked up

    promptly at dismissal time.

    Photos for the MS yearbook Salinlahi will be taken this week. Please

    see details within the bulletin if you are interested in purchasing

    photos of your child.

    This production is suitable for general audiences however, the dialogue is traditionalShakespearian text and the tale of Romeo and Juliet contains fight and death scenes.Younger children may not understand the intricacies of the plot, but will enjoy the music

    and dancing.

    Run time: approximately 2 hours.

    Yearbook Photo Shoot

    The Photo Shoot is scheduled on October 10 to 14, 2011 in Room 1118.

    All students will be photographed regardless of purchase.

    Each class will have a scheduled time for the shoot during the

    week.

    Students must wear their school uniform during the photo shoot.

    Order envelopes will be distributed to students the week of October

    03. Payments should be placed inside the envelope and should be

    brought by the student on the day of the shoot to be given directly

    to the photographer. No payment will be received by the teacher

    or the MS office. You may contact the photographer directly for

    later orders/payments.

    Due to early release for Parent/Teacher conferencesMonday and Tuesday Oct 10/11 there will not be anyATAC team practices or AFAC activities on those days.Normal schedule will resume on Wed Oct 12 th.

    ES/MS Soccer Festivals: Check the links in helpful short-cuts on the ATAC blog for exact details regarding the ESand MS RIFA 7 aside from soccer festivals. The 3rd festi-val for C, E and G teams is this Saturday, October 8th(same times/venues as previous festivals). The finalsparticipants for C, E and G teams will be announced afterthis coming Saturdays last round of matches. Stay tunedfor an update next week.

    The following week, October 15th, the RIFA finals will beheld at Xavier School, Greenhills for the boys in the morn-ing and the MS girls finals is also on October 15th at Xa-vier in the afternoon from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. All ISM

    MS girls teams have qualified to play in the finals.

    RIFA Girls HS Soccer: The semi finals for the Varsity girlssoccer divisions took place last Saturday and ISM varsitygirls defeated Poveda and will now play Miriam Collegetomorrow in the final at 3:00 P.M. on the HS field. TheISM JV girls soccer team will play their semi final tomor-row, October 8th vs. La Salle Antipolo at 1:00 P.M. andthen the finals on October 15th at the MS field.

    1st Season IASAS Information: Travel packets have beendistributed for 1st season athletes. Please ensure thatpassports have been submitted to Joan at ATAC of-fice and all documentation should now have been com-pleted and returned!

    Cross Country news: Results from last Fridays twi-light meet at ISM are now posted to the Cross Countrymeet results page. Thanks to all those who came to sup-port the runners for our first twilight race last Friday itwas a terrific success. The last local race of the seasonwill be held tomorrow, Saturday, October 8th, at Brent forour MS and HS Cross Country teams.

    Gymnastics: Our gymnastics team/coaches and PE facultyhad a wonderful opportunity last week to spend time withMr. Duncan Myers from Gymnastics Australia. Duncan washere for 3 days and conducted specialist work-shops/coaching sessions for our PE faculty on currentmethods, best practice teaching for gymnastics in PEclasses. He also spent time with our coaches and gymnastsand was an exciting presenter who engaged the gymnastsfully in all his sessions. I am sure our team learned a widevariety of new information and skills during his visit. Mr.Myers runs a gym with over 1800 gymnasts in Melbourne,Australia, is a presenter for Gymnastics Australia and hasover 50 gymnasts from his gym involved in the nationalgymnastics team for Australia. We hope to be able to getMr. Myers back in the future for further expert coachingand assistance to our program.

    2nd SEASON SPORTS: Tryouts flyers have now been postedon notice boards around school and are available on thetryouts page on the ATAC blog. MS and HS students inter-ested, please take note of the information. See flyers in thisbulletin also.

    For those parents interested in the 1st Season IASAS champi-onships at Singapore, you can now access the full tourna-ment draw with details of all events on the ATAC blog. Ourteams will depart for Singapore on Wednesday, October 19and return to Manila on Sunday, October 23.

    IASAS Send-Off Assembly is Wednesday, October 12th duringHS assembly time and following the assembly, the athleteswill have their send-off lunch sponsored by the parents atHS courtyard from 11:35 A.M. All 1st season traveling IASASathletes are required to attend.
