Cravia Group has hosted another successful Founder’s Awards Event – the company’s annual function which celebrates the company’s successes and all the great efforts achieved by the team over the past year. Around 460 employees from Cravia’s head office and its renowned brands - Cinnabon, Seattle’s Best Coffee, Zaatar w Zeit and The Steak Bar, including representatives from their partner Al Fajr Group attended the event, which was held in the Atlantis Hotel, The Palm on June 8th 2016.

Special recognition was given to Cravia team members who have excelled in their duties, going above and beyond the already high standards that the group has become renowned for. Executive Chairman of Cravia, Walid Hajj; Multi-brand Manager Cravia, Marwan Kandeel; and Director of Operations Cravia, Mahmoud Harb, all presented team awards to Cinnabon and Zaatar w Zeit in acknowledgement of their efforts. There was also recognition for employees achieving 5 years’ and 10 years’ service at Cravia.

Cravia’s CEO, Louay Ghandour announced Fajr Capital’s investment in Cravia and that it will support the company to strengthen its leadership position in the regional food and beverage sector, as well as accelerating its immediate growth plans. He explained how Cravia’s management

team will leverage Fajr Capital’s global network to increase the company’s presence in existing markets, and penetrate new markets such as Bahrain and Qatar.

Mr. Louay made a presentation to the team that outlined the company’s results and developments over the past year, highlighting the company’s plans for the future, which included Zaatar w Zeit opening three outlets in the UAE earlier this year year and one outlet in KSA, and the upcoming opening of five outlets in KSA. He also announced the opening of five new Cinnabon outlets in the UAE, and three recently renovated outlets. Additionally, Mr. Louay spoke about the expansion of Five Guys in KSA, which will open three new outlets.

A video about The YES! Attitude book by Jeffery Gitomer was shared with the team by Mr. Louay, which talks about how to be positive, the importance of smiling and to always have a YES! Attitude towards work and towards life.

The event was concluded by Mr. Walid Hajj where he held a Q&A session with the team, during which himself and the management advised employees on how to have an improved and successful work environment.

The spirit of Ramadan with Senses at

Senses Residential and Day Care Centre, a not for profit organization, is the first and only residential care facility for special needs in the UAE and the Middle East.

Through specialized programs that combine speech and music therapy, art, life skills, sports and physiotherapy, children from the age of two to nineteen with mild or severe physical disabilities and Down Syndrome receive the care they need.

On 22nd June 2016, Senses hosted an Iftar at ZWZ, inviting 15 children accompanied by nurses and staff. While having delicious ZWZ treats, we went a step ahead and gave these children beautifully decorated jars with chocolates and candies as giveaways.

at Fun NationCinnabon held two sessions on Friday, 15th July and one session on Sunday, 17th July where chef Paul taught people how to make Pizza bites and Nutella Chillatta.There were 20 stations equipped with raw materials to prepare the initial product and each station had a family of around 4 to 5 people. What’s more, kids were also given branded Cinnabon aprons and bandanas during the workshop.

The event was a success and all the families loved it and had a great time along with the organizers. More than 200 people attended our cooking show and we were the best amongst the others as chef Paul was very interactive and made it fun for all.
