John began his senior career with the Brewers havingcome through the Burton Albion Academy following hisrelease from Manchester City as a youngster. John wasthe first graduate of the current youth system at Burtonand went on to make over 100 appearances for the firstteam under current boss Nigel Clough. A subsequentmove to Crewe Alexandra for a shot at the FootballLeague followed. Two consistent years at Gresty Road,picking up the Player of the Year award in both seasons,led to a reunion with Clough at Derby County in 2010,where he also picked up the Player Of The Year Award inhis first season at Pride Park. After three years with theRams, Cardiff City paid a substantial fee to take John toSouth Wales and although he didn’t feature in theBluebird’s Premier League campaign, he was a key figureupon their return to the Championship. John linked upwith Clough for a third time, initially via a loan spell, atSheffield United, leading to a permanent move to BramallLane in 2014. Injuries limited his opportunities towardsthe end of his spell with the Blades and John spent the2016-17 season on loan with Burton Albion beforepenning a permanent deal after his release in thesummer of 2017. In the summer of 2019, John signed afurther one-year deal which would see him at the PirelliStadium until the end of the 2019-20 season.

BACT 2.6CHALLENGE

BACT are kindly asking supporters, participants and partners to join in with fundraising efforts as part of the nationwide 2.6 Campaign. During this uncertain period BACT has continued to operate in whichever way possible and have supported thosethat are currently most vulnerable and at risk. Therefore, by joining the campaign it will allow BACT to continuesupporting our Community Response to Covid-19 and allow BACT to support the community in the future. All Monies rasied will be used to support the most vulnerable members of our community with wellbeing checks,care packages, activity packs and food deliveries. BACT will also be donating proceeds raised towards the BurtonHospital NHS Trust Charitable Fund to help support the fantastic service that our local community receives. The challenge will be to vision and create an activity that's based around the number 2.6 or 26!The 2.6 challenge can be an activity you like from running 2.6 miles to holding an online workout with 26 of yourfriends. You can even donate £2.60, it really doesn't matter, we just require your help to save the UK Charities.

We'rehoping to raise a grand total of around £10,000 to help supportBACT and Burton Hospital during these unprecedented times. We have seen first-hand our local hospital and it's amazing staff. BEEF &BROCCOLINOODLES

Start by making up the sauce. Mix the ingredients together in a smallbowl. Boil the noodles according to pack instructions. A minute beforethey are ready, tip in broccoli.Meanwhile, heat the oil in a wok until veryhot, then stir-fry the beef for 2-3 mins until well browned. Tip in the sauce,give it a stir, let it simmer for a moment, then turn off the heat. Drain thenoodles, stir into the beef and serve straight away, scattered with springonions.
