Christmas Trivias Do you know that…

*More diamonds are purchased at Christmas-time (31 percent) than during any other holiday or occasion during the year. * According to the National Christmas Tree Association, Americans buy 37.1 million real Christmas trees each year; 25 percent of them are from the

nation's 5,000 choose-and-cut farms. *Santa Claus (or Father Christmas) was originally known as Saint Nicholas. He is the patron saint of children. He is also the patron saint of sailors.

*There are more than 2,700 languages in the world. Santa is fluent in all of them. In addition, he speaks a secret elf language. * All the gifts in the Twelve Days of Christmas would equal 364 gifts.

*Most of Santa’s reindeer have male-sounding names, such as Blitzen, Comet, and Cupid. However, male reindeers shed their antlers around Christmas, so the reindeer pulling Santa’s sleigh are likely not male, but female or castrati.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Christmas is a time of reflection, a time for good cheer, a time for friends and family, during a special time of the year! For this event, Student Support Services Department and Human Resource Department with the approval of the management, organized a party for all BMC full time staff and students on 22nd December 2014 at BMC Bukit Merah Centre ( Level 7 -Room 17- 6:00pm). The whole program was fun and memorable because of the meaningful performances from the students . Staff and students played games and did exchange gifts. A very delicious meal was also served for all. Another good experience to keep from BMC. Till next year!
