Other News LIFESAVER TALK – STAGE 2 Last week a lifesaver came to school to talk to us about how to be safe at the beach. Craig showed us the different

types of flags and what they mean. If you don’t know what the flags mean then you should talk to the lifeguard. We also talked about when people are swimming in dangerous water, don’t follow them if you feel unsafe and always ask the lifeguard if you are unsure of the conditions. If you see someone in trouble tell someone immediately – don’t try to save them yourself. A lifeguard has a very important job and we should be friendly and help the lifeguards by following the rules while at the beach.

Learning a foreign language is more than just learning

some new words, it is a rewarding experience and

confidence booster.

It is said to improve memory, vocabulary, reading and

writing skills and it is easier to learn another language

when you are younger.

Having the knowledge of another language

gives students an advantage in the job

market when leaving school.
