Reports For two household families the school reports will be posted home on Friday. This is part of our work towards better communication for everyone to ensure the reports get home to all parents. If any parents would like to speak to the teachers in relation to their child’s next steps please feel free to make an appointment.

Goodbye AFTERNOON TEA (tomorrow!!) Thursday 2:45pm We farewell Mr Hollins, Ms Poulton, Mrs Way, Ms Gasparre, and Mrs Szeltma. These teachers have worked hard all year to help make Lawson a wonderful place of learning. The thankyou afternoon tea will be a lovely community celebration as we show our appreciation to these committed professionals for their commitment to our school.

School Leaders We congratulate the following students who were voted into the Leadership team for 2019. Well done to Matilda, Zarna, Caitlyn and Emeisha. The voting process was the same as every year and we believe the school has chosen wonderful leaders. It is challenging to deal with not getting a position for the students who were brave enough to put themselves up. I thank them for their resilience. Further opportunities will be voted on in 2019 for the rest of the Year Six students and we may review the process with the P&C next year. Good luck to you all!

Classes for students The teachers have taken considerable time, energy and collaborated to place students into classes for 2019. These placements have been individually considered by our professional staff to achieve what we consider to be the best learning environment for your children. The students will learn of their new class teacher next year when we return on Wednesday 30th January. I am thrilled to have sat into the planning sessions for 2019 and hear the insights the teachers have of all our students. I am confident parents will appreciate the effort put into these class placements.
