Jundah Rodeo & Bronco Branding revives after 18 years
Congratulations to the Jundah Community Bronco Branding and Teampenning Association on a very successful day of Bronco Branding and Rodeo action at Jundah. After an 18 year absence, the Committee pulled together a great event and despite a cold start and evening, the daytime weather really turned it on. It was also the first opportunity for the Committee to utilise the new arena, bar and amenities at the Jundah Racecourse.
Prizemoney was hotly contested in all events with decent nominations across the Bronco Branding and Rodeo. Teams travelled from near and afar for the Bronco Branding during the day and as pictured above, there was even all ladies team to match it against the men. The evening saw plenty of thrills and spills in the Rodeo with many local riders, having a crack at making a score to take home some glory. The Poddy Ride in particular was a hit, with local kids of all ages tackling some slippery calves in the quest to make it to the 8 second buzzer. The bucking stock came out the overall winners on the night with quality bulls and broncs giving the
riders a very decent run for their money.
The Committee would like to thank all volunteers, sponsors and supporters who helped make the event a success. Stay tuned for the Motorbike Gymkhana weekend to be held in September. You can also follow the Jundah Community Bronco Branding & Teampenning Association by liking their page on Facebook.

10 Second Grab Competition
Congratulations to Charlotte Gorringe on her winning entry "kayaking" in the 10 Second Grab competition. The video is of Charlotte's daughter, Daytona, paddling in her kayak with her little dog for company. This Grab is an activity that can be carried out in any of the three communities. The Barcoo Shire tourism team would like to thank all who participated in the competition and to remind you all to keep your video's handy. Videos are a catchy and fun way to promote our shire. There is always that unusual opportunity for a fantastic grab. It pays to be on the lookout.

A weekend of fun in Windorah
Windorah was the place to be on the 14th & 15th July when the Windorah Rodeo Club held their annual Horse &
Motorbike Gymkhana, Stockman’s Challenge and Bronco Branding. All the action was centralised around the fantastic
new catering shed and amenities with 2018 also being the first year of use for the new Bronco Branding yard. As usual
it proved to be a great weekend for the whole family with plenty of action on horses and bikes over the 2 days. The
Committee would like to thank all sponsors, volunteers and officials who helped make the weekend a success. Sadly
due to drought, the Windorah Rodeo Club has made the difficult decision to cancel their 2018 Campdraft and Rodeo
however fingers are crossed for a decent wet season next year as they plan to be back in 2019.
