CHANNEL FILTERSWHY THEY SHOULD BE USED

In cities like Melbourne, almost every household was getting signal from one location, such as Mt Dandenong, only. Now we have towers in multiple locations, like Bourke St, Melbourne CBD and Como in South Yarra.

TV tuners are receiving multiple signals which is causing a mess. Using a Channel Block-D (Ch 40~45 / 613~649MHz) filter, your tuner will receive signal from only the correct tower, thus reducing multiple channel entries in your TVs EPG!

This is not simply a cosmetic issue; you will have faster channel scans and no need to delete/hide unused channels, making your job quick and easy. Probably the best part is these filters are essentially a band-pass filter so you wont need any further 4G/LTE filters. Install before your masthead amp and only signals from the tower you want will get through.

The good (and the bad) thing about selling loads of Aussie made Kingray products are they never break down and never need replacing! However, with the introduction of LTE signals the time has come to replace them. Many installers ask why not use an LTE filter?

A filter involves adding a second enclosure (such as the MHB001) on the mast which is

an unsightly cost. This solution also requires more connections which cause signal loss, and increased labour. It may also not feature the sub-174MHz low band filter the EDGE series of Kingray masthead amps havethis keeps out the unwanted FM interference. Once all cost are considered, LTE filters are more expensive & dont cover all the bases.
