Chairman’s Chat As the new Plymouth Kolts JFC Chairman, I am delighted to wel-
come you all for the new season, and hope you are all beginning to get that pre-season tingle that happens every year.
I have this season taken the reigns from Steve Wardle, who I'd like to
thank for his many dedicated years of service to the club. I'm sure you will all join me in wishing him all the very best with his gardening and retirement. Perhaps he will even come and cut our pitches for
us? Most of you will know Steve as the stalwart who has developed most of our young individual players into Kolts mini-soccer teams. This has contributed to a large part of our success over the years, and for that we are incredibly lucky and grateful for his hardwork.
For those of you that don't know me - I've been with the club since 1997 in various roles, with a small break between 2001 and 2004 when I went over to the dark side (YMCA Kitto Parkway), but re-
turned in 2004 to start again at Under 9's with a team that went on to break both Kolts and DJM records, culminating in winning the Devon Cup and the South West Regionals in 2008, before narrowly missing
out on Nationals glory later that summer. Since 2010 I have been assistant to our current under 15 team, to managers Andy Lamerton
and Shaun Harding.
What has most impressed me over the years, is the level of commit-ment, loyalty, hardwork and determination of players and our volun-
teers throughout the club. As Chairman I hope to help the club to use this to grow to where I believe it belongs - as the biggest and best
club in the DJM.

At the Ivybridge Tournament the Under 9s made it though the league stages against 8 other teams to the quarter finals and lost out to MAP Juniors on pen-alties! All the boys played really well and even MAP’s managers said they de-
served to win!

Award Winners! U15s Fletcher Cook won the 2012/13 Plymouth Kolts overall
best U15s Player Award! Well Done!
Joe Brennan won the 2012/13 best Plymouth Kolts keeper award.
They also won U15s managers player and players player award between them .
Shaun said "They’re both top lads that have a great future of football ahead of them!” The Under 15s manager, Shaun Harding also won Plymouth Kolts Manager of the year
award!
