    1. ISRAELE-ELE USERS GUIDE

    Step 1: registerwww.israele-ele.ning.com

    Step 2: once we are registered.

    Join the group you belong to:

    o Inicial 1 Diana. Jueves de 12.15 a 13.15

    o Inicial 2 Diana. Mircoles de 12.15 a 13:45

    o Inicial 3 Diana. Mircoles de 14.15 a 15.45

    o Intermedio 1 Rosalie. Mircoles de 8.30 a 10.00

    o Intermedio 2 Diana. Jueves de 16.15 a 17.45

    o Intensivo. Jueves de 8.30 a 10.00

    In this screenshot we can see the tab grupos (groups) and the groups that have

    already been created. We can access this page from any other page just by clicking on

    the grupos tab.

    In each group you can discuss, work or talk about aspects and matters related with that

    specific group (for example, you can use it to solve doubts, share class notes, ask

    questions)

    Step 3: edit mi pgina (My page). In this page we can see:

    Latest Activity (ltima actividad) of the member

    Basic personal information

    The possibility to personalize the page according to our taste.

    The information we gave when we registered.

    A dialogue box (caja de dilogo)

    M friends (mis amistades)

    My videos (mis vdeos)

    My music (mi msica)

    My groups (mis grupos)

    My events

    My blog (mi blog)

    This is your personal page and you can get here by clicking the tab Mi pgina

    from any other page. Once you are in, on the top left side, youll see the Basic

    information (name, sex, country) and youll have the possibility to change the page

    according to your taste and preferences through Theme and Photo. You can also

    add some other applications by clicking on Applications. At the top of the page youcan see the pages name (that you can edit and change anytime by clicking on it, here

    la pgina de Bibi) and the members latest activity (ltima actividad)

    As we scroll down the page we can see the information we gave when we first

    registered and, a bit further down, we find a dialogue box that we can use for

    anything we want (upload pictures, add some more info).

    My Videos, a bit more down, allows us to see the videos we have already upload and

    give us the chance to upload new ones by clicking on: .

    We can invite any member to be My friends or see the one that are already on this

    category.

    My music allows us to add music from our computer or from any web page (you

    need to pay attention to copyrights)

    If we continue to scroll down, we find My groups, My events and My blog

    (central part). The first one reminds and shows us the groups we have already joined

    (for example, if Im already a member of Inicial 1 Diana it should appear in this area).

    My events let us on one hand create a new event and to inform the other members

    about it and, on the other hand, it reminds us the events we have planned to attend.

    Blogs are the place for you to express yourself, share your thoughts and opinions,

    reflect about something, spread information

    2. BUT, HOW CAN I CONTRIBUTHE TO THE COMMUNITY?

    Israel-ele is a social network that Works as a community, as you all share the passion for

    Spanish, and is entirely for you. This means that is up to you to create new content

    according to your tastes, preferentes or what you are interested in. It is also up to you

    participate, collaborate and share any kind of stuff with the other members in order to

    make the most out from the community and an active and alive web. You have all

    different kind of tools that will help you on the way and that will allow you to share

    information, create debates, upload music or videos Or any other thing you can think

    about!

    Some of the things you can do in the community:

    Forum (foros). This is the perfect place for discussions and debates. You can use the

    forum as a tool to enable dialogue about different subjects like for example doubts

    you had from class, any question related to Spanish or Spanish learning To start a

    discussion you can just click on the tab foros and then add a discussion or you

    can just join and participate on the ones created by other members. You also have 2

    ways to subscribe and be updated to whats going on in the forums through the RSS

    option or notificar (notify me) option.

    Create Groups. Groups are useful to go deeper on different subjects. You can

    create as many groups as you want according to your interests. An example

    could be a Spanish food or recipe group or grammar group or Tel Aviv in

    Spanish or Salsa group The groups will allow you to share information,

    links, create discussions Anything you can imagine related to the topic of the

    group!

    Upload music or videos. You can access to the videos page by clicking on the

    tab from any other page. From there youll be able to see all the videos that have

    been already posted and youll have the opportunity to upload new ones. You

    can upload videos that are saved on your computer or directly from websites like

    youtube or google videos (among others).

    To add and share music we have 2 options:

    o From the main page

    o From our personal page (see above)

    Finally, if we want to communicate with another member of the community we can

    either do it through:

    Internal mail (private message) We need to go to the personal page of the

    member we want to send the message to and click on Enviar mensaje (send a

    mail)

    Or

    Comments (public message). Also on the personal page of the member we want

    to send the message to. Anytime we leave a message, it will appear on the main

    page under latest activities.

    These are only some examples of things we can do in the community but, as I said

    before, its all up to us and your imagination. So dont be shy and start participating.

    This is the best place for all of us to learn!

    Good practises :

    Subscriptions: Whats the advantage of subscribing? That we dont need to search for

    the content, the content finds us. Anytime you see this icon it means that you can

    subscribe to that page, activity, comment, application. What it actually means is that

    whenever theres a change, new post or any new activity on a page we are subscribe at,

    we get a notification or mail so that we now about it. By subscribing we can save time,as we dont need to be checking all the time on the latest activity in the areas we are

    interested in!

    Links: its very useful to create links to other content from the community as well as

    from outside the community.

    Tags (etiquetas):it is very useful to add tags whenever we add or create new content sothat it is easier to classify and organize the information as well as find it easier

    afterwards. Remember: you need to separate the tags by using coma (,) and if the tag

    has more than a word you should write them between quotation marks (). Tags should

    be related to the content to which they are linked.An example:
