Fibers, fabrics and other component materials play an incredibly important part in the sporting goods industry presenting trends and developments that will not be available to consumers until about two years later.

Despite this, it is hard for designers and product managers to source the latest developments. This is the reason why ISPO MUNICH decided to develop a new area showing the best available component products in a concentration nobody else o!ers.

A jury of trend experts examines all entered products and selects up to 60 products with the highest degree of innovation. The selected companies will benefit from an exclusive presentation in the very unique ISPO Textrends Forum, the must-see platform for all sportswear, fashion and accessories designers and product managers. And this is only one of several benefits which accompany this opportunity.

ISPO Textrends Forum is the center of component product innovation.

TRANSPARENCY With the furore of social media, the need for brands to adhere to strong environmental, sustainable and socially accep-table levels of conduct is key through the entire supply chain. The consumer is in control, especially through Twitter and Facebook, as today’s news and views travel fast! Transparency is essential in delivering the demands. It is no lon-ger just a case of pursuing eco friendly and sustainable processes purely in the textile chain; social responsibility and a strong sense of ethics in the activewear sector dictate the end purchasing power.

IDIOSYNCRATICBeing distinctive from the competition drives the activewear market. Fabrics continue to perform but it is the new generation of multi-functional fabrics that continue in a lighter, smarter direction, o!ering added comfort and function to existing favorites. Embedded technology and intelligent fabrics form part of this digital decade, bringing together a connection with today’s globalized market. Di!erentiation is the name of the game, utilizing unique processes and finishes in delivering a quirky yet quintessential style. Interactive, intelligent and fashionable, the goal is to o!er stimulating products with a sense of personalization in a competitive market.

BALANCEIn a frenetic world consumers will pursue recreational activities to bring a balance into their lives. The trend for well-being continues, physically, mentally and emotionally. And easy aspect features, from light leisure pursuits through to the high-end performance levels. Health and performance marry, not just from the consumer’s activities but from the fibers, finishes and fabrics too, embedded with ingredients that enhance and protect the wearer’s well-being. Health and happiness go hand in hand at all levels of performance.

Mega Trends Autumn/Winter 15/16One goal of ISPO MUNICH is to be a gateway for future trends. In cooperation with trend experts ISPO MUNICH studied various global trends with influence on the textile industry and its products. In combination with the defined trend colors and five more detailed textile trends, these mega trends provide a good vision where the future of textiles will take us.

ISPO MUNICH is very pleased to have the opportunity to share these visions for Fall/Winter 2015/16 with the textile industry and to use these trends as a basic guideline for ISPO Textrends Forum 2014. The mega trends show visions that are not specific to one particular area but will influence the entire textile chain right down to the consumer.

The color cards and the textile trends result from a range of influences, from consumer behavior to the global economy. Film, music, social media, art and many other activities are reflected in these trends. They form a basic guideline how new developments and innovations of ingredient products will be shown, presented and highlighted at ISPO Textrends Forum 2014.

PRIMEISPO Textrend’s core color palette incorporating the bestselling activewear tones shifts slightly sharper up the color spectrum for the season. Black, winter sun and alpine blue sit alongside blazing orange and fir cone brown. The core tones can be used bright for a modern application or taken down for an aged aspect. The season’s new complimenting satellite color palettes take inspiration from both natural sources and the man-made world, o!ering and creating a harmonious connection for the activewear sector.

HYPERBrilliant and bold synthetic tones feature, in matte surfaces or taken to new lustrous levels through high gloss finishes – neon accents also surface compli-menting this energetic and charged option. Artificial lucidity takes this palette to a new level.
