Different understanding of what SR is

Very high influence of some experts

Pressure from the developing world for a certification standard

Many experts have never been in an ISO meeting before and do not understand the process at all

Too much time focused on talking about the process instead of the standard

Letters, letters and more letters consuming time and draining leadership energy

Language barriers

Why is it so difficult?
