EXT.1st CENTURY B.C. ANCIENT PACIFIC-NIGHT

Stormy skies, heavy rain pours over a violent sea of thePacific Ocean. An Island burns brightly with volcanic mist,shimmering in the murky night.

EXT. SKY-SAME TIME

Above the Island thunder and lighting displays theirviolent tempers. Battle cries echo with the clang of metalupon metal. The sky illuminates with sparks eddy fromswords as two armored Angels hack at each other.

DETINOS a muscular male angel an ancient Principality cladin red armor continues whacking at SEPHERI'EL a Celestialfemale Angel clad in amethyst and gold armor.

DETINOSIts pointless to fight meSepheri’el, Satan owns this regionand I am its guardian.

The two clash in a stale mate.

SEPHERI’ELWe’ll see about that Detinos as I

remember your master lost the warin heaven! And he will surly losethis one!

DETINOSYour overconfidence in your masteris your weakness!

SEPHERI’ELWrong!

Sepheri’el uses some fancy sword play cutting Detino’scheek.

SEPHERI’EL (CONT’D)He’s my strength!

Detinos backhands Sepheri’el.

DETINOSInsolent pup!

Sepheri’el topple across the firmament, he gains controland lunges back hitting Detinos with his fist, Detinosplummets out of control

SEPHERI’EL

(Yells)It ends here Detinos!

Sepheri’el points his sword, ripping through the skies likea missile heading for Detinos. Detinos gains control, hespins around waking Sepheri’el’s sword from her hand.

SEPHERI’EL’S P.O.V SWORD PLUMMETS TOWARD THE EARTH

Detinos comes in with a sucker punch Sepheri’el unconsciousis in a freefall dropping back to earth. Detinos watcheswith his crazed eyes.

DETINOSIdiot!

Sepheri’el struggles to open her eyes; she fixes her gazeon Detinos. Sepheri’el’s eyes ignite with power as sheconjures a spell.

SEPHERI’EL(Angelic langue)

Energy shoots from Sepheri’el’s hands hitting Detinos

SEPHERI’ELLoser!

Sepheri’el losses conscious and drops out of sight crashinginto the earth. Malkahim magic entangles Detinos who letsout a loud agonized roar. Sparks shoot out of every part ofhis body as he spins out of control shooting off in sparks.Detinos is closed up into a large Black Crystal orb withsliver angelic markings; it plunges into the Island offire.

EXT. SEA SIQUIJOR SEA CLIFF-MODERN DAY

DR. RAYAN an average middle age Filipino, dressed likeIndiana Jones is peering through a surveyor instrument,taking readings on a spot where it gives them a higher andbetter view of the whole scene.

DR. RAYAN(Mutters)

CHRISTINA late 20's dressed in the same matter is markingon her notepad.

DR. RAYAN(Pointing)

Christina steps in and looks though the interment and seesthe opening.

A jeep rides in on the Sean, GISELLE a Filipina beautyjumps out and approaches Dr. Rayan and hand him documents.

Dr. Rayan looks up and sees Giselle; he puts down anartifact and greets her with a firm hand shake.

DR. RAYANGiselle I am glad to see you, are

you here with the grants to finishthis excavation?

GISELLE(Disappointed)

Sorry Doctor but you have twenty-four hours to vacate this site.

DR. RAYANMay I ask why?

Giselle hand Dr. Rayan some documents and he over looks thepaperwork and is fuming mad.

EXT. PINAMUNGAHAN-NIGHT FALL

A rural area where trickling water flows into a creek, agentle breeze blowing through the trees, SEPHERI’EL dressedin her hunters outfit black leather and silver hardware,sitting on a well watching the sky.

SEPHERI'EL(Whispers to self)

The hour is at hand.

She checks her twin guns and sheath them a an OLD WOMAN60’S comes passing by, she stops, and looks at Sepheri'elwho’s sitting on the well.

OLD WOMAN(Cautions)

Miss it isn’t wise to be hereafter six PM.

Sepheri'el cocks her head to see the old woman, her lengthywhite hair blows in the breeze as her bangs fall over herblue eyes.

SEPHERI'ELAnd why not old woman?

The old woman shows her toothless smile.

OLD WOMANA word of caution young lady, theWhite Lady moves about in thisarea finding whom she can and onelook upon her she will bring deathto you or a family member.

SEPHERI’EL(Laughs)

The harbinger of death!

The Old woman looks surprised, the birds flutter away, aquit lull settles in the area.

Sepheri'el pulls out her twin guns, the old woman screamsas she wobbles away. Sepheri'el lowers her hands hidingher guns.

INT. WELL-SAME TIME

Air bubbles cur the water, a white eerie glow shimmering

beneath the liquid surface.

EXT. WELL- MOMENTS LATER

The WHITE LADY dressed in a late Victorian era garb, slowlyemerges form the well and is face to face with Sepheri'elwho is sitting.

SEPHERI'EL(Scoffs)

So you’re the famous white ladywho has a grip of terror onlocales?

WHITE LADY(Laughs)

A brave fool!

SEPHERI'ELWhy don’t you remove your veil andshow me your face?

WHITE LADYIf I show you my faces you willsurly die!

SEPHERI'ELIt is not I who will not die demon!

The white lady removes her veil with a horrific screech.

P.O.V A HIDEOUS SKULL WITH GLOWING RED EYES

Sepheri'el’s body freezes over with ice, the white ladychuckles as she approaches her frozen prey.

WHITE LADYDelude mortal!

Sepheri'el shatters the ice, pointing her gun in the chestof the White Lady.

SEPHERI'ELMortal I know I am not!

Sepheri'el pulls the trigger the White Lady is pushed back

from the force of the gun fire; Sepheri’el leaps into theair landing before the White Lady could hit the groundlying before her feet.

SEPHERI'EL (CONT’D)

I thought you said I was going todie witch?

The White Lady is on her feet in a blink of an eye,Sepheri'el throws a kick to her head, and she bounces backfinding two guns between her eyes.

WHITE LADY(Shocked)

Oh no!

Sepheri'el pulls the trigger blowing the White Lady’s headto bits, her body crash dissolving into a puddle of slime.

INT. SIQUIJOR CAVE-SAME TIME

Thick fog covers the earth, beams of flash lights flicker,Dr. Rayan and Christina move through the cave.

CHRISTINAAre you sure that the pearl isdown here?

DR. RAYANSince when are we ever cretin ofanything?

Dr. Rayan flash his light on a walls, and he seespetrogylphs telling about a battle with the gods and theevil god is concealed in a star that fell like lightingfrom the heavens.

CHRISTINA(Wide eyed)

We’ve found it. They hear drips of water echoing, as continue to follow thepetrogylphs.

DR. RAYANLearn to be penitent Christina.

Christina pulls out a ball of string from her knapsack andties it down.

DR. RAYAN (CONT’D)

CHRISTINAMaking a trail so we won’t getlost as you taught us in our firstsemester.

Dr. Rayan laughs adjusts his hat and continue to adventureinto the unknown.

INT. CAVE POOL-LATER

An eerie light shimmers in the dark, a pool of dark watersits in the center of the cave, a large statue of a wingedcreature sitting in the pool holding the Black Crystal Orbwith silver markings of angelic script. Dr. Rayan andChristina see the statue from a distance with its backfacing them.

DR. RAYAN(Points)

Look!

Dr. Rayan and Christina sprint over to the statue.

CHRISTINAWould you look at this?

They circle the object and Dr. Rayan notices the BlackCrystal Orb resting in the palm of the hand of the statue,Christina rushes into the pool finding it hip deep.

CHRISTINA (CONT’D)There are some markings here in alanguage I have never seen.

Dr. Rayan concern slowly walks into the pool and looks atthe markings.

DR. RAYANIt’s an ancient language. Perhapspost Adamic language.

Christina pulls out a camera from her back pack and takes afew snap shots.

Dr. Rayan translates the markings.

DR. RAYANDetinos the evil god open andsuffer his wrath.

Dr. Rayan looks up at Christina then back at the markings.

Dr. Rayan stands scratching his head.

CHRISTINAWhat God, Angels, demons, what Ithink that they are a figment ofan imagination or perhaps aliensfrom other planets.

Dr. Rayan continues to over look the statue.

DR. RAYANGood observation Christina, but in

the book of Ezekiel, your aliensare angels.

Christina gives a look of “Are you serious”

Christina continues to take potshots of the statue.

He struggles to pull the pearl from the hand of the statue.

He pulls it from the hand.

P.O.V THE BEAUTY OF THE BLACK CRYSTAL ORB SHIMMERING IN THEEERIE LIGHT

DR. RAYAN (CONT’D)And no doubt that this object isthe prison of Detinos!

Christina stops taking pictures.

CHRISTINAReally so why would the Archbishopbe interested in finding this?

Dr. Rayan gives a look “I don’t know” and guesses.

Christina realizes the possible motive of Archbishop Agbay.

Dr. Rayan holds the Black Crystal Orb up into the dim lightglaring at it.

Christina smiles as she moves out of the pool.

DR. RAYANI agree.

He moves out of the pool.

DR. RAYAN (CONT'D)As soon as we get back to thesurface we'll place this beauty ina crate and send it to Manila'sMuseum.

Christina sees a shadow of a man with huge wings holding asword.

CHRISTINAThere is someone in here!

Dr. Rayan flashes his flash light and they see nothing.

Christina feels frighten.

CHRISTINAIt was big with wings.

DR. RAYANIt could be an angel.

Christina’s eyes are full of fear as she glances at Dr.Rayan.

CHRISTINAYea right! I am out of here!

Christina takes off running.

DR. RAYAN(Shouts)

Christina it was a joke!

Dr. Rayan runs after her.

DR. RAYAN (CONT'D)

Slow down!

Dr. Rayan trips over a rock and slowly sinks into a sinkwhole.

DR. RAYAN(CONT'D)Christina help!

Christina stops and skids, and spins around.

CHRISTINA

This better not be another one ofyour sick jokes Doctor!

Christina hears Dr. Rayan’s desperate cry bouncing off thewalls of the cave.

DR. RAYAN (O.S)Christina help!

Christina finds her courage and races to save Dr. Rayan,and she skids to a stop.

P.O.V Dr. Rayan sinking

CHRISTINAHold on Professor!

Christina runs and dives across slides forward across theslanted gravel grabbing Dr. Rayan’s hand.

CHRISTINAHold on ProfessorI'll get you outof there!

DR. RAYANHurry up I’msinking quickly!

The Black Crystal Orb glows with a green light and itstarts to burn Dr. Ryan’s hand.

CHRISTINADrop the damnCrystal!

Dr. Rayan drops it and he ignites into flames.

CHRISTINA (CONT'D)Professor!

Christina pulls away watching Dr. a turn into dust, and shequickly sprits off to the exit yelling.

A tall slender MONK dressed in red, his face buried deepunder the hood, he's standing over the Black Crystal Orb,and he scoops it up with red glowing eyes.

MONKThe hour is at hand.

The Monk vanishes like mist.EXT. ARCHAEOLOGIST CAMP-SAME TIME

Christina comes running into the Archeology camp, shestops, and a look of horror crosses her face as she staresintently at the burning camp sight with dead bodieslittering the ground.

CHRISTINA(Panicking)

There all dead, what the hell isgoing on?

She hears screeches from the distances.

CHRISTINA (CONT'D)Pull yourself together Christina;I got to get to the boat!

Christina sprints off heading toward the ocean, when a MANANANGGAL with huge leather bat wings fly low to the

ground slicing through the grass toward her. Christinalooks over her shoulder and sees the Manananggal as it hitsher; she topples over rolling back to her feet.

CHRISTINA (CONT'D)(Screams)

What in the world?

Christina peers into the sky.

CHRISTINA (CONT'D)I don't want to die!

She examines herself and finds blood across her midsection.

CHRISTINA(Screaming)

O great I'm bleeding!

Christina climbs to her feet and continues to run holding

while her stomach.

EXT. SIQUIJOR SKY-SAME TIME

The moon traversed by clouds drifting three Manananggalscreech with an unearthly sound as they hovers over theclouds like vultures.

EXT. SIQUIJOR-ISLAND-SAME TIME

The squawking sound of three Manananggals distractsChristina as she sees the winged creature streaking overher head.

CHRISTINAOh this is just fantastic they seeme!

Christina sprints off; she’s blocked by one of theManananggals drops in, it folds it wings.

MANANANGGAL ONE(Cackle voice)

Hello pretty, pretty, pretty!

Christina spins around the second Manananggal drops inblocking her exit.

MANANANGGAL TWO(Cackle voice)

Going somewhere?

Christina tries to exit another way but the thirdManananggal drops in hitting her with the tip of its wing.

MANANANGGAL THREE(Cackle voice)

Stay for dinner, we insist!

Christina stagers to her feet, streaks of light rips passher; two of the Manananggals explode into flesh bits.

CHRISTINA(Shocked)

Ill, gross!

The third Manananggal leaps into the air screeching as itclashes with KAMA’EL who is clad in chrome gold armor andhis eagle wings flapping.

KAMA’EL(Shouting)

Is that the best you’ve got witch!

Christina hears the sound of battle and slow raises hereyes to sees the fearful yet wonderful sight.

P.O.V AN MASCULINE ANGEL WITH WHITE HAIR

In a swirling blur, Kama’el battles with the Manananggal,and with some fancy sword play he finishes it off.

Kama'el slowly descends as his weapon vanishes, he seesChristina gawking at him and with his light humor he gazeson Christina.

KAMA’ELDon’t you just hate it whenthey gain up on you like that?

Christina is dumbstruck; Kama'el flexes his wings, andfolds them, he takes a couple of steps toward her.

KAMA'EL (CONT'D)Christina right?

CHRISTINAYes?

Christina slowly backs away; Kama'el continues to movetoward her with a most serious look.

KAMA'ELDo you know what you have justdone?

CHRISTINA

KAMA'ELWhy didn't you heed my warnings?

Christina is confused.

CHRISTINA(Frustrated)

Christina stops and spins around eying Kama’el.

Kama’el puts his hand on Christian’s shoulder trying tobring comfort to her.

The moon light bathes over the magnificent seventeenthscentury church.

ARCHBISHOP AGBAY dressed in black his lengthy dark hairsilhouette against the back light, his bishounen look ispartly bathed in shadows as he stands in the quit, staringat the beautiful architect of the alter.

The Monk in red robes appears next to Agbay.

A giant humanoid creature with a horse’s head and a man'sbody, its skin is black as midnight, its long dark hairdances in the breeze, in the center of its chest is aglowing jewel in a shape of an agimat.

URIEL (CONT'D)Help!

The Tikbalang grunts and blows hot steam from its nostrils,as it makes eye contact with frighten Uriel, she slowlybacks away, and the Tikbalang comes out from behind thetrees to investigate.

KATRINA (V.O.)Seize her and bring her to me, orsuffer!

It’s clawed feet tears into the earth as it squats, itsknees reaches above its head, its large mouth opens with aodd smile showing its sharp teeth.

The Tikbalang stand up and howls shaking the Katrina’svoice from its head. Uriel runs off, the beast jumps andlands before her and spots the silver cross and snatches itout of her hand.

The Tikbalang scoops Uriel up with its massive hand, itquickly jumps through the forest, it comes to a little hutwith a grave of humans skeletons spread across the earthnear a bamboo grove.

Uriel opens her eyes and sees the horrific sight, theTikbalang drops her, walks over to the bamboo grove and itholds out its hand and opens a gate way into the grove.

One of the Maranhig hits Kama’el from behind and he isflung across the field and hits a tree, slumps to theground, finds ice formed around him.

Kama’el breaks free from the ice and leaps back at theMaranhig with his hands ignited with fire.

In the foreground of the forest the earth begins to swell,it rips apart as a red glow emanates from beneath. Kama’elhits the Maranhig with fire, they are consumed, he spinsaround reaching out his hands to Uriel.

KAMA’ELUriel come to me!

Uriel is frozen with terror, as something evil is beingunleashed heading strait for her, she sees the phenomenon

URIEL(Screams)

Help!

The Balete tree branches wrap around her little body, shescreams for help as she struggles for her life.

URIEL (CONT'D)(Screaming)

Kama’el leaps into the air drawing his sword, when heblocked with two ASWANGS , Kama’el and the Aswangs battleover the forest. The roots drags Uriel close to an openingof a chomping mouth of the tree, she struggles withscreams.

Kama'el!

Kama’el comes around and slices one of the Aswang in halfand it disintegrates. Uriel places her feet against thegaping jaws pushing away.

URIEL (CONT'D)Kama'el!

The second Aswang lunges its piercing tong, Kama'el catchesit and slams the Aswang against the earth, and like a spearhe lunges his sword through its skull, pinning it.

KAMA'ELUriel!

URIELKama'el!

In a blink of an eye Kama'el take his sword, the Aswangdenigrates, Kama'el races to the tree, its roots come tolife entangling him, he struggles through breaking and cutsthrough the roots.

URIEL (CONT'D)

Kama'el!

The tree pushes Uriel into its gaping mouth and it growssilent as Urile's screams grows silent , the roots returnKama’el lands and rips the tree out of the ground andtosses it.

KAMA'EL(Screams)

The Tiyanak opens its mouth; it spoke so fast it’s like awhisper, hundreds of Tiyanaks steps out of the shadows,Sepheri’el stares at them with a smile.

SEPHERI’EL (CONT’D)Oh well, it looks like its goingto be a fun night after all.

Sepheri’el aims her guns, the Tiyanaks leap at her, a shotis fired, a Tiyanak falls, then another shot, then twomore. Sepheri’el fires her guns at a ridiculous rate ofspeed. Countless Tiyanaks fall.

Sepheri’el runs up to one and kicks a Tiyanak in the faceand flies upward, Sepheri’el firs her guns, she uses thekickback from the guns to keep herself afloat. Sepheri’eldrops to the ground she knocked a dent into the legion, butmany still remain quickly advance her.

SEPHERI’ELHow about a little swordplay?

Sepheri’el she sheaths her guns and pulls out the mightsword and slashes and dices her way through the mass. Witha swing a Tiyanak is split into pieces and disintegrates.

Some Tiyanaks manage to get an attack off, but Sepheri’eleasily deflects and counters, and she manages to findherself directly in the center of the mass.

Sepheri’el looks upwards toward the sky and starts to turnan ominous black around the tower; she focuses back on themob of Tiyanaks.

The Tiyanaks swarm in close, Sepheri’el jumps straight intothe air and leaps over them, landing safely on the outsideof the circle across the ravine.

SEPHERI’EL (CONT’D)Sorry guys got go!

A signal Tiyanak mange’s leap over, Sepheri’el turns andsees the Tiyanak charging her with snapping jaw.

SEPHERI’EL (CONT’D)Enough!

Sepheri’el kicks the Tiyanak like a football, it screams asit soars in the air.

The Tiyanak crashes into the mass, they all denigrate.

Sepheri'el fires her guns, Detinos deflects the built, shetakes to the sky and swiftly snatches her sword, Detinosfollows, and she spins around parrying Detinos' attack,Detinos stiffens up upon impact finding her blade in hisheart.
