Our mission in the Iman Level:
To learn about our faith and what it means to truly believe in Allah SWT through the Quran and the
teachings of Ahlulbayt and how to implement that in our lives.
In 2018, we will be exploring with our students the following main topics:
Some aspects about Allah (SWT) which we will explore in the Iman Level:
Fundamentals of Faith
This year in Iman we will first explore the Usool Al- Deen (fundamentals of our religion: Tawheed, Adala, Nubuwa,
Imama and Qiyamat) and from there we will be focusing on the following Furu’ Al-Deen (branches of our religion):
Prayer: Students will learn how to perform Wudhu, how to recite the Adhan and Iqama and the movements of Salah
and what to say during these actions
Fasting: Students learn why we fast with their body, mind and soul. The significance of Laylatul Qadir and the
importance of duaa and reading Quran during the month of Ramadan
Hajj: Students will learn the rites of Hajj and the history behind it.
Zakat/Khums: Students will learn why and the importance of giving charity to the poor and needy

Prophet Muhammed PBUH
Students will learn about the Prophet (PBUH) and his family (Ahlul Bayt) and some stories we will be examining include
Hadith al kisa, Mubahala and what happened at Ghadir Khumm
12 Imams
Introduce the 12 Imams in sequence and explore their lives through short stories. We will be focusing on the
following 4 Imams in depth:
Imam Ali
Looking into the life of Imam Ali. The father of the orphans
Imam Hussain
Learning about the histroy of the tragedy of Karbala by examining the bravery and selflessness of the Imam during that time. Aswell as how
he treated others with kindess and respect before the tradgey.
Imam Sajjad
The life of the imam after the tragedy of karbala and examining his famous work ‘al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyyah.’
Imam Mehdi Explore the life of the imam; The minor and major occultation and understanding the reasons behind his occultation and how we can prepare for the imam to come

Akhlaq
Students will be examining different stories from the 12 Imams and the akhlaq they exemplified. We will focus on
how to practically implement the Imams’ teachings into their daily life, such as at school, at home and amongst
friends and family. Students will achieve this by reflecting on their own behaviours and the characteristics of the
Imams. Some examples of stories and akhlaq we will explore are:
Kindness to others; Fatima and her necklace
Generosity; Imam Hasan and his wealth
Forgiving others; The neighbour who threw rubbish at the Prophet
Respecting parents and elders; Imam Hassan and Hussain teaching the old man wudhu
Quran
This year Iman students will focus on the following from the Quran:
Term 2
• Surat An-Nasr • Learning the tafsir and memorisation Surat An-Nasr
• Exploring the story of the migration of the Prophet (PBUH)
• Being thankful and praising Allah SWT through saying Alhamduallh, Subhanallah
• How to seek forgiveness from Allah SWT
Term 3
• Surat Al-Kawthar •Learning the tafsir and memorisation Surat Al-Kawthar
•Learning about the underlying story of the surah
•Understanding the abundance of good that was granted to the Prophet (PBUH) from Allah SWT
•Examining the life of Fatima Al Zahraa and her relationship with her father (the Prophet PBUH), her husband (Imam Ali AS) and her children
Term 4
• Quran Olympics • Prepare for the Quraan Olympics by revising Surat An-Nasr and Surat Al-Kawthar and previously memorised Surahs; Surat Al Fatiha,
Surat Al Ikhlas, Surat Quraysh and Surat Al Qadr.
