ISI STUDENT MOBILIZATION
STRATEGY
Mobilizing the Emerging Generation for Global Impact
WHAT IS STUDENT MOBILIZATION?
“Student Mobilization” is a strategy to accelerate and help meet the goal of reaching every international student on every campus with the Gospel of Jesus Christ – by recruiting, equipping, and mobilizing Christian students to reach international students on their campuses and throughout their communities.
WHY STUDENT MOBILIZATION?
Availability – students are more available than most post-college adults (who have full-time careers, families, etc.)
Proximity – many Christian students are already there!
Formative – students are in the formative years of their life mission and vision
Aptitude – students today are more cross-culturally “pre-disposed”
WHY STUDENT MOBILIZATION?
Acceleration – mobilizing Christian students can significantly accelerate the work of international student evangelism/discipleship
ISM hrs invested (assuming retirement at 65 & 1.5 hrs of ism/mo):
Age 50 = 270 hrs (1170)
Age 40 = 450 hrs (1950)
Age 30 = 630 hrs (2730)
Age 20 = 810 hrs (3510)
Evangelism implications (assuming 90 contacts per decision):
@ 1 contact/month = 7.5 yrs per conversion
@ 4 contacts/month = 1.875 yrs per conversion
